I set up ski school for my six year old six weeks in advance. The people on the phone were knowledgable and gave good guidance. My son and my husband had a great time skiing and the instructors were great.

We truly enjoyed taking in the beautiful view skiing through the trails, and the class our youngest took who had never skiied before was wonderful. The teacher was very friendly!

What a great experience I just had at a business conference held at the amazing Stowe mountain. With roaring fires being tended inside and outside, and freshly falling snow, Stowe was the perfect setting.

Great people at every location from the bellman, to the front desk, to the ski/boot rentals, to the food court at the Great Hall. Simply perfect!

Great ski school and trails for every level of skier. My favorite was the 4 mile long Toll Road.

If you want to ski in style, this is your destination.

We ate at the resort a number of times over the past week, as we skied and boarded at the Stowe mountain. The food was great but it is expensive. $9 for a very small bowl of chili. Chili was delicious and very homemade but could have made a couple pots for that price.

Guess that is what you expect for eating on the Mountain, compared to other resorts food was fantastic.

We wanted to try skiing at Stowe since it is one of the few mountains in New England we have not skied yet. Similar to other reviews, we found Stowe to have some very beautiful views but icy conditions especially by the end of the day. Their online system of ordering tickets definitely has some snags which need to worked out. We were not able to order our tickets ahead online to get the $14 discount/person from our desktop or tablet. Judging by the response at guest services, we were not the first guests to have a problem with this. I have to point out that Danyle at the Mansfield base lodge guest services was very helpful in rectifying this problem and did get our discount tickets for us. Glad to see that customer service still exists in our society. Still $84 plus the $5 "evolution card" for a weekday lift ticket is excessive for icy conditions. In theory, this card can be used for future trips to Stowe or until management develops a different system and the card is no longer valid. Guessing 5 years or less?
The restaurant food is impressive but for $9 for a small bowl of chili and $14 for a chicken wrap served cafeteria style it should be really good! Most trails were open while we were there and the layout works out with the help of a over-road gondola which connects the 2 base areas.
Overall, a fun trip but would go back to other ski areas in Vermont first before going back to Stowe. Definitely seem to cater to the "upper crust".
