Fantastic place. This is a beautiful resort. Rooms were elegant and spacious. the only downfall is the surprise parking charge at the end of our trip.

“Fall Foliage In Vermont”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

The Scenic drive up route 100 offers great view and interesting pit stop. The red orange and yellow just don't come any more vivid or profuse than they do in Vermont And one of the most effective ways to see them in journey up the middle of the state on route 100. Travelers are all but guaranteed peak colors any time between late Sept.ans mid October and road side attraction including farm stands, art and craft show, general stores, sugar house ans even a winery . YOU also get maple juice fresh and etc.You can also visit BEN AND JERRY in north ice cream factory and Cabot cheese Annex before ending at Cold Hollow Cider Mill Free Sample every where.Actually you can start with the Green Mountains Coffee Roasters in Waterbury. So its worthwhile to visit in fall for life time memory

“Alpine Slide, tips and review for the non-skiier”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

If you go earlier in the day, go to the Stowe Visitor Center first, which is on the way anyway, and ask for a couple of coupon brochures, which are behind the desk. It's 4 bucks off a pass for several activities.

I could not use that because I got there 90 minutes before closing on a Sunday, too short a time period for the pass to be used well.

If you can swing it, pay for TWO or more rides on the Alpine Slide if you've never done it before and you're not a skiier.

You get two experiences for the one ride ticket. You go up on the ski lift and you come down on what amounts to a sled with wheels and a steering wheel. The vehicle was recently redesigned.

You control the speed. If you think you or your little kid are going to go slow, you could mention it to the coordinator, who gives a quick orientation, and they will hold up the next rider so you don't feel rushed. The first time you go, you will see what more you can do and you will want to go back. The view is sweet and the ride is fun.
