“Nice Waterfall”
Reviewed June 5, 2014

We took a small hike in the end of April "Mud Season". The paths were clearly defined and even thought the trees and flowers were still dormant, the waterfall was amazing. There may have been an easier way to get to it, but we seemed to follow the "Easy" path and had a nice steep hike up a cliff to get good views. Maybe in the summer you can wade near the water as an easier option??

“Gotta go there!”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

I was there in spring, but it must be awesome in the fall! Great narrow winding (but not scary) mountain drive. Once you get out of the car, it's so peaceful. It's a must see.

“beautiful”
Reviewed May 19, 2014

They had just opened the pass after being closed all winter and it was busy! Windy roads, huge boulders, so much to see. Was beautiful and scary all at the same time.

“Great drive! You don't have to be a hiker to be amazed!”
Reviewed May 18, 2014

We didn't go for a hike as we had our elderly parents with us, but we took a drive through Smuggler's Notch's winding road. The road can only take cars and pickup trucks, anything bigger would not fit around the boulders and twisting turns around said boulders. But our mouths hung open at the amazing scenery, waterfalls, ledges, and huge boulders lining the road.

Make sure you have your camera with you - a home movie will amaze your friends!

Start at Stowe Ski Resort or Smuggler's Notch Ski Area and drive to the other side. Hikes take longer.

“We will go back!”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

If only to see just how cool it is. It is a place of hiking and our first visit we weren't prepared for hiking. This was because we came across the place while out driving around.

It looks like a nice place to hike and spend a few hours outdoors enjoying the clean, fresh air, all while seeing a part of VT not seen by many folks as it is a bit off the beaten path
