“Only half right”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

The trails were well groomed but often mislabeled. Too often a beginner trail was really an intermediate trail. The lodge shows signs of deferred maintenance and is understaffed. Part of our daily cross country trip was to enjoy a nice lunch. The Bakery/Brewery did offer lunch but with a 25 minute wait one day and cash only the next due to a systems problem. The bathrooms were filthy. While staff was pleasant, I do wonder where management was on one of the busiest weekends of the winter season. Next time in Stowe, I'll try another cross country center.

“well groomed trails”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

The trails were in great condition and they were good for all abilities. They were also well marked and there was a good map to keep us on the right trail.

Challenging ski trails though not enough trails for beginers. Great warming cabine at the top of the Cabin trail.

“Gorgeous, lesson was great”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

We (boyfriend and I) went to the outdoor center on Sunday, Jan 6 for their package deal on cross country ski rental, lesson and trail pass. The lesson was an hour long and Bill, our instructor, was fabulous. He helped us out with our form, technique, etc, and didn't make us feel embarrassed when we were completely skiing incorrectly. He would just explain it another way, which was helpful. After our lessons we did some of the easy trails through the woods. They have the ski path dug into the snow (2 of them in fact, on one path) which was helpful for us cross country ski newbies. We enjoyed our outdoor adventure!
