Attention to details. Very accommodating stuff and pretty good food in Norma. I have been there both during summer and winter and had great experience. The hotel is being renovated right now and I expect even more from it when I come back. They also accept pets. Outdoor heated swimming pool and jacuzzi are great. Skiing and skiing is splendid and of cause food in stow is really great for a skiing village.

Room Tip: Mountain views are the best

We loved our stay at Topnotch. The staff went out of their way to help us. The room was clean, comfortable, luxurious and spacious. Food at Norma's was great. We went to ski at Stowe Mountain lodge Resort and was very happy that we did not stay there, what a mad house!! The only inconvenience at topnotch is that they don't have a store for basics.

My husband and I stayed at Topnotch with our two kids (ages 9 and 11). We rented one of their condo units (2 bedrooms, 2 bath, living room and small kitchen). We went skiing every day at Stowe Mountain then came home and jumped into the pool and hot tub at Topnotch's lovely spa -- heaven after a long day of skiing. The Topnotch staff are warm, friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and would definitely consider returning.

Room Tip: I would recommend getting one of their condos because you can then buy groceries and save a little m...

We spent a weekend away with our grown kids here, having planned it months in advance. We were dismayed to learn that the Resort was under major construction, but the staff, especially Allane on the front desk, couldn't have been more helpful. We were unhappy that our rooms looked right into the construction site, and they worked hard to find us alternate rooms that worked splendidly. The staff were friendly and helpful for the entire weekend, and trip turned out to be everything we had hoped.
The pool/spa, with indoor and outdoor hot tubs are wonderful, and full of friendly people, most of whom were getting away from the New York and Boston blizzard happening that weekend. The beds are unspeakably comfortable, and we all commented on them when we got up the first morning. Dinner at Norma's was also excellent, and couldn't be more convenient. Some of us went snowshoeing, some skiing, and some stayed by the pool all day -- a perfect spot for a family with varied interests.

Room Tip: Ask for the side facing away from construction, although this will only be an issue until 6/13 or so...

Although we received a reduced construction rate for our stay all of the little extras they seem to advertise we're not offered. There were no afternoon cookies out the entire 3 days we were there (sat - tues). The free valet parking was a nice touch because the parking is ridiculous during the construction. While the massage I received was wonderful the only "snack" in the lounge rooms were dried apricots. Also the spa seemed to be a workout facility for locals so there is a lot of foot traffic depending on the day/time you are using the facilities. We had a wonderful view of the mountain but also gave us front row seats to the construction each day which kind of sucked because they started at 8am and worked until 5pm. The walls/floors are SUPER thin. I could hear the person snoring in the next room. And if you get stuck on the 2nd floor hopefully there will not be a herd of elephants staying above you. Definitely a lot of families so you just need to be prepared that the relaxing pool area is usually not going to be that. It would actually be really nice if they had adults hours at different times of the day. For the price I would try some of the other resorts in the area before I stayed at Topnotch again.

Room Tip: any of the rooms in the lower numbers of the hundreds is right by the construction of the new lobby.

So while looking for a spa in the Stowe area I came across a few (obviously). Obviously, as always, price is part of the decision making process, but when it came down to this one and another, i decided that atmosphere was also very important if you're looking to treat yourself. It's standard spa pricing, but woooo-wee, do you get the bang for your buck...AND there are mid-week prices, which helps a little. The facility is great, so peaceful (granted, there's constructions going on outside, you would never notice in the spa), light colors, lemon water, fireplaces, tea and apricots everywhere. A private lounge for men and women, the women's lounge has everything you could need to enjoy the day at the spa and then get ready (so no packing all your personal items). The whole atmosphere just oozes 'spa' and 'relaxation' and they really do a great job about making it feel like it's all about you. While i was there i had a 50m Swedish massage and foot massage. I dont know how they knew, but I was paired up with a masseuse that fit me perfectly for what i needed as well as talked to me about how i could help some of my stressors/lifestyle to reduce the stress in my neck (NOTE: I was talking to her, she frequently intervened to say i could relax or sleep if i'd like, it was in no way one of the massages where you just want quite and they keep talking). Also, with any spa treatment, you get access to the rest of the spa for the day: sauna, hot tub, and pool. I'm so glad that i made the decision based on wanting a relaxing spa experience rather than just price alone... I will certainly go back (and request Beecher)!
ahhhhhhhh Namaste!

Initially planned a weekend getaway, however our flight was delayed causing us to miss our flight into Burlington. I called Topnotch to explain the situation and, even though our reservation was non-refundable, they re-booked us for a different weekend at no additional charge so we only had to pay for the 1 night we were able to stay. The staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. All were very eager to assist. Room was very warm, comfortable, and had a nice "homey" feel to it. We had a king size bed that was very comfortable. Furnishings were well maintained and the decorations were very tasteful. Bathroom was nice, however a little small. Great water-pressure (we all know that's important). Their indoor pool and spa was excellent. The indoor spa has a waterfall feature that feels amazing on your back. There is also an outdoor pool and spa, both heated of course.
