My wife and I stayed here for several days at the end of September and couldn't have been more pleased with everything! From the time you arrive you will be made to feel that the staff really wants you to enjoy yourself. The grounds are very nice, 2 outdoor heated pools and spa, and a large indoor pool with a great jacuzzi featuring a waterfall to help massage your back! There was also a sauna and steam room. They also have a large complete spa area and service but we didn't usethe. One of the most quiet hotels we've found, with large rooms and all the amenities you'd expect, and the beds were very comfortable. They have a restaurant right there that has good food, and great mountain views for you while dining.

Just spent a long weekend Topnotch Resort and Spa. 6 of my girlfriends and I have returned for the 6th year in a row. We rent one of the beautiful townhouses on the property with a spectacular view of Stowe Mountain. The townhouse is well appointed and spacious. The staff at the spa and hotel are always accommodating, helpful and friendly. The massage therapists are very knowledgable and do a fabulous job. The surrounding town is filled with fun, upscale boutiques and restaurants. The restaurant at the Resort, Norma's is exceptional as well. I highly recommend visiting here and plan to return again next year!

Room Tip: I have never stayed in a room at the hotel, only in the townhouse, so can't help you here.

Stayed at end of September for one night. I am not a skier, but this is a really great place. The room is very spacious in every aspect. Plenty of room for luggage, dog crate, king bed. Very clean and quiet rooms. Only saw the pools from Norma's, but they looked awesome. Even in the rain people were outside in the pool. Heard people raving about the pool and spa everywhere in the hotel. Resort is located up a ways on Mountain Road, but only about 5 minutes to the bottom. There is grass on the outskirts of the parking lot, and walking trails for the dog. Only complaint was that we had to walk aways to get outside, and then across the parking lot to get to the grass. When it's cold and rainy, it's seems even farther. Very nice overall

I had a wonderful time at this resort. Its very inviting. The staff is courteous and personable. The food is fresh, and well prepared. I was quite pleased with the lunch and dinner. I did not eat breakfast. Mary at the bar at Norma's is a gem. She is very personable, makes a great drink and made great recommendations from the menu, The grounds are well kept. The resort is very clean. The bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept. There were high qualitiy linens and towels. The spa and spa services were also very good. I loved the waterall jacuzzi in the main spa area. The spa areas were very clean which I think is extremely important. The spa areas have coffee, organic teas and chilled water. The fitness center is awesome and rivals a well equipped gym. There are yoga and other fitness classes but I did not have the opportunity to take advantage of classes.. I would not hesitate to stay at this resort again and, infact, plan to return in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the mountain

We were there in May 2012 for a long weekend. The scenery was excellent. The pool area was gorgeous though not big. I can't imagine when it is summer when more people are around, but for Memorial Day weekend it didn't feel crowded at all. The room was very spacious and nice. The decor was nothing special but no complaints either. However, the bed was very soft and caused back pain. (that was perhaps the only blemish during our whole stay) Service was quite good - low key but attentive. The spa offered a wide variety of services which were very good. I had a relaxing weekend and probably will go back when I travel to Stowe again.

I have been to this hotel twice now and highly recommend it. My first visit was for a girls weekend during the Summer and we really enjoyed the spa, pool and area restaurants (highly recommend Hen of the Wood), the second time I came with my husband and 2 young children and enjoyed our visit just as much. We loved riding on the bike trail to downtown Stowe and enjoyed areally nice kid-friendly dinner at Norma's, complete with S'Mores at the fire after. The pool area is beautiful, and the spa services were phenomenal.

Breathtaking scenery and a wide variety of outdoor recreation made for a terrific trip to Stowe for a sales meeting. Topnotch was good, but not truly top-knotch. The staff members were only moderately friendly and the operation was not precise. Simple things like the hours of operation and reliability detracted from a strong foundation. For example, we had more than 20 people at dinner in the restaurant at 10:00 PM and they made it clear we needed to leave by 10:30. The bar/TV area on the main floor was never open. The exercise facility (which was quite extensive) "usually" opens at 6:30 AM. Well...not when we were there. At 6:35 it was not open and with a meeting starting at 8:00 this type of sloppiness matters. We encountered more of this type of imprecission, however, overall, we enjoyed a good meeting in Stowe and were comfortable at Topnotch. For activities outside of Topnotch try the zip-lines (big hit with all involved) and golf at Country Club of Vermont (excellent, challenging course).
