This is our second stay here, last time was a week on business this time a one night flying visit.
We like the place, it is set back from the road so no traffic noise. However it seems it is under the flight path of the airport so planes may be heard.
The first time we stayed, we had a two-roomed suite, at the end of the corridor, very nice. The second time was a "normal" room. Both visits made us think we were the first to stay in the room. Looks clean and fresh, bathrooms were also nice and clean. Both rooms well appointed with furniture and flat screen TV's. This visit we could not find the TV remote control, and made a mental note to mention at reception. Then as we were about to checkout, we found it, it has a cover on it for hygiene - I was expecting a black thing with buttons by the TV, not a white gloved thing by the bed! No matter, we wouldn't have watched much TV anyway. The combined heater / AC unit seemed a bit noisy, but we turned it off.
We ate supper in the bar - excellent food and excellent choices on the menu. As Canadians in Vermont I didn't know any of the local beers on offer so was happy to have the barman recommend one. My wife was happy with his choice of red wines too.
The hotel has an indoor and outdoor pool, the outdoor is of course closed in winter, we took a quick look at the indoor one and it looked nice.
The simple free breakfast was quiet at 9:30am, on our last visit I remember it was busy at 8:00am. Enough choices to keep most travelers happy, dirty plates and cups etc whisked away by the smiling staff as soon as you finish.
Checkout was a breeze, drop the key cards, pick up the receipt and off you go.
We'll be back.

Room Tip: May be a long walk to the car so find your room and park close to it.

This hotel is way way outdated. It is very old, unappealing, tired, and run down. It's in desperate need of a makeover. Peeling paint, cracks in the walls, dirty old carpeting, etc. It also has a weird odor. The complimentary breakfast was nowhere near the quality of other chain hotels. If I'm ever in this area again, I will stay somewhere else.

I’m very sorry to hear that our hotel scored below your expectations. We take great pride in our property and although it’s never easy to receive feedback from an unhappy guest, it is feedback that we value very much. We completed many upgrades to our hotel but realize that some of our rooms need additional attention from the wear and tear of a busy season. We are spending our off peak season painting, deep cleaning and providing overall maintenance to all of our guest rooms. We appreciate your feedback as we continue our progress to not only improve upon the big items at our property but the small details as well. Thank you for your review of our property and for your valuable comments.

Accommodations are average, decent place for the price. The hotel is centrally located and close to other things. This place was recommended to us by a friend and it was fine. It's not high-end, but they are making renovations to the hotel to update it.

Very warm reception (LOVE the soft chocolate chip cookies in the lobby after 8pm, I really had to resist eating more), clean elevator, clean room, quiet, free Wifi. Only (relative) bad thing is that it was a 25 minute from downtown, but frankly I was here for work and so only went when I had a little free time. Very good for the money.

Thank you for the wonderful review of our property! We love hearing from our corporate travelers and appreciate the feedback regarding our amenities and cleanliness of our property. We are just two miles from downtown but sometimes the 5pm traffic makes for a long commute to downtown -hopefully it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. Thank you again for your posting about your positive experience!
