We are on a weekend trip down in Vermont, from Quebec (Laval) and are in awe of the abundance of choice there is at this health food grocery store! The staff is so friendly and helpfull , nothing like what we have back in Laval... Great place to stock up on inexpensive raw organic food produce! The restaurant in the back end of the store is delicious, compares to what we have in Quebec called Commensal but better cause you can shop while your hubby gets to sit down and eat and use their wifi to write up reviews of this place. The only thing I think they should change is the configuration of their eating area, to get it away from the noise of the fridges and drink mixers... That's all! Fantastic place, orgasmic living!

While Healthy Living is far more expensive than area co-ops, and I would not recommend shopping there on a regular basis, the cafe is exceptionally good and often has the best soup anywhere. If the cream of mushroom happens to be one of the specials of the day, you may be in luck (if you love mushrooms). The soup is thick with a tasty variety of mushrooms and no heavy dairy products- spectacular. The hot food and salad bars are good as long as you choose with care and do not overdo it with heavy items. Roasted mixed vegetables and steamed kale are delicious, healthy choices. I miss the old store with large windows and do not like the artificial light and cramped quarters of the new cafe, but you can sit outside (on a busy road disguised by green vines) on a warm day.
