We came to the Windjammer because it was fairly close to our hotel and was recommended by the front desk. Since we had a reservation, we were a little taken back to be handed a fairly large buzzer (think Red Lobster). This is a very large place, somewhat spread out with lots of different types of seating areas. The wait was not long, and we were led to a large room with several large banquettes that could easily seat four people. There were only two of us. I felt like we were in the senior citizen room, as it was filled with older people and was very quiet. Not my favorite atmosphere for a restaurant, not sure why we weren't seated in a smaller booth, as there appeared to be some available. The food was pretty traditional, standard American family fair, and the menu is fairly extensive. The crab cakes were excellent, scallops and prime ribs were ok. The salad bar is pretty boring, sorry, just not my thing. I did like the petite dessert choices though - perfect when you want just a taste of something sweet at the end of your meal. The do have an upstairs pub - less expensive and more informal. Would probably try that next time.
