Great location, just 2 minutes outside of downtown Burlington. Looking outside the main entrance, you know that the city is to the left and the great inexpensive "Al's Diner" is to the right. We were welcomed with two VERY delicious Doubletree cookies. The staff even called our room to make sure we were OK. They also gave great advice on where to eat in Burlington. You must eat at: Lake Champlain Choco Factory and Magnolia (For lunch and BFast only). A Single Pebble (Chinese Restaurant) is okay if you're used to great New York Chinese food (More expensive though) and Trattoria Delia is a good dinner choice (albeit a bit too pricey if you're cheap like me - $70 for 2 drinks, an appetizer and two pastas). Although you won't get the B&B feeling at this hotel, it is great if you're used to today's modern amenities.

We've stayed here a few times before because of the great location. However, we will check other hotels next time in the area due to smoking issues.

We're non-smokers. We booked a non-smoking room on the 2nd floor. However, certain sections of the 2nd floor reek of smoke, often wafting underneath the door and sometimes through the vent in the bathroom. The hotel was SOLD OUT when we stayed, so there was no way to change rooms (and all other hotels in the area were sold out as well).

If you want a TRULY NON-SMOKING ROOM AND HALLWAY, take rooms 204 through 251. There is clean, fresh air circulating through the halls.

If you want a "NON-SMOKING" room in HALLWAYS THAT REEK OF SMOKE, then take rooms 252 through 275.

If you want a truly SMOKE-FREE hotel, consider the Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn, Townplace Suites, or Courtyard by Marriott (all of these are owned by Marriott and all are completely smoke-free nationwide).

Positives:
1. Warm chocolate chip cookies upon check-in (standard @ all Doubletrees)
2. Excellent location...minutes to downtown Burlington, easy drive to Waterbury/Stowe/Montpelier
3. Comfortable beds
4. Great exercise room and pool facility
5. Ample parking

Stayed at this hotel while returning from a ski vacation in Canada.

It was clean, well run and the facilities were in very good condition. The staff was helpful and polite.

We stayed one night January 5th so we could take advantage of the Park&Fly deal the Doubletree offers, where for a few extra dollars on top of room charges you may leave your car in their parking lot and use their 24/7 shuttle to the airport.

This saves about as much in two weeks parking costs at the airport as the room costs!

The hotel is, as others pointed out, right off the highway and near stores, bars, restaurants, grocery stores and the airport.

The bed was fantastically comfortable and the staff first rate. I actually looked forward to the hot cookie they give you when you check in (and if you ask, when you pick up your car)

We have stayed at a few other "Park and Fly" hotels in the area and believe me, THIS is the one you want to choose. IMHO the rooms and service are better than other notable name brand hotels literally across the street. Also be careful, some places do not have a "24 hour" shuttle. Lastly, from the worst park and fly deal to the very fine Doubletree there were only a few dollars price difference. I decided I didn't want to save fifteen dollars and lay awake all night in an uncomfortable bed in a cold noisy room like I did the last time I did the Park&Fly in Burlington

PS Trader Dukes restaurant located in the hotel is actually frequented by locals and is a pretty good pub. Food and drinks are not expensive and the service was good.

Excellent location right off the highway and next to the shopping mall. Minutes from downtown Burlington and the airport. Plenty of free parking, free wireless internet, and excellent workout room with cardio machines and free weights. Did not try the indoor pool/hottub, but the area looked clean and well maintained. The onsite restaurant was a great value for breakfast. Room clean, spacious and bed extremely comfortable.

We are currently staying at the Doubletree Burlington for two nights. We are on a family vacation and booked this property due to the terrific reviews. We have been pleasantly surprised. When we booked we told them that we would be celebrating an anniversary and a birthday during our stay. We recently became Hilton Honors members and when we checked in yesterday, they informed us that we had been upgraded. We were excited but usure of the type of room that we would receive. We arrived to our room on the second floor, room 282. We were surprised that our room actually was a jacuzzi suite and very nice. It consists of a separate living area with couch, chair, end tables with lamps, a coffee table, entertainment center with cable televison and desk with free high speed internet access. To the middle of the room is a small kitchen area with sink, full size refrigerator, microwave and dishes. The bathroom is fairly large and has an oversized bathtub with jets, a double shower head and large vanity area and sink. The bedroom is at the back of the room with separate door from the small kitchen, living and bath area. It has a wonderful king sized bed that is so comfortable and is covered in plush linens and extra feather pillows. There are two nightstands with lamps, a full length mirror that opens to a closet and entertainment center with cable television. The room is very nice and perfect for a family of three.

Hotel staff has been very helpful and friendly. We ate at Trader Duke's restaurant which is located within the hotel and had their breakfast buffet this morning. It was $12.95 for adults and $3.00 for our 2 year old son. It includes your drink also. The food was good and the service was decent. They served breakfast potatoes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, waffles, fruit, and a made to order egg/omelet station.

This hotel is definitely worth a little extra money. I would highly recommend it for a comfortable stay in Burlington.

My husband, 5 month old daughter, dog Jack & I stayed at the Doubletree this past Saturday night for a visit with friends who are professors at UVM. My husband travels for work & is an Honors member, so this stay was booked as a reward stay & therefore I cannot comment on it's value for price. Prior to arrival we called to confirm that they are pet-friendly (yes), that there is a fridge & microwave in-room (yes) & requested that we be put in an area of the hotel where there are few guests so when our baby cries in the middle of the night, they aren't going to get alot of complaints. The very nice desk staff upgraded us to a suite, gave us a free breakfast for 2 voucher (room service or at the restaurant on-site), cookies, water & took our pet deposit (in case Jack destroys the room).
The room was fine - it looked fairly recently renovated & there were no obvious repairs needed. The bathroom was spotless & seemed new - solid stone slab surfaces, double shower-head & good water-pressure. The kitchenette contained a fridge & freezer, microwave, sink, plates, utensils, dishes & coffee/tea maker. There was a tv in both the bedroom & living room. Didn't try the internet. The king bed was very comfortable, although the pillows were too soft for our taste - but we're foam pillow people & these were down or down-like. The room had plenty of storage for a longer stay.
Didn't get to the gym or pool as we were visiting with friends during the day. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant which was fine - nothing fancy & casual enough to bring our baby with us, but the food was very tasty (french toast, pancakes, eggs benedict etc). Overall it was a great stay, no complaints & we'll stay there again next time we visit our friends.
