We stayed here based on some of the positive reviews on here. Although this is adequate, you could do better at the Holiday Inn Express down the road for just a few more dollars. The facility is old. Our room was down the hall from the pool which made the entire area damp and chlorine smelling. Our room was worn. The carpeting hadn't been vacuumed in the corners and along the hard to reach edges. Many of the lights, microwave and refrigerator were unplugged. Needless to say our dairy-based sweets did not survive the night since we only found out things were unplugged as we packed up the next morning. Lastly, when you pull into the parking lot in the rear of the building and see five guys tailgating with their pick up, grill and cooler, speaking language laced with profanities at dusk, run! This was our situation. We wanted to run but it was too late as our young kids were tired.

Our room was adequate, a little crowded with 2 double beds and the rollaway cot we needed. Not much of a view out the private balcony off our room. Balcony didn't really have any seating either. The pool was nice. The hot tub didn't work perfectly but was good enough. Plenty of food at the breakfast buffet. The price is much higher on Saturday night compared to Friday night. Biggest problem: not enough parking.

We had a hard time finding the hotel (it recently became a Quality Inn); I still don't understand how the addresses work on Shelburne Rd... Very nice staff, very comfortable room. We were near the pool, which was great. Very nice restaurant across the street. Very nice breakfast buffet. Enjoyed working out at the gym. Would definitely return!

Woke up around midnight with "critters" scuttling around in my bed.
Checked out the next morning instead of staying for the duration. Clerk told me that the manager would call or e-mail me with a discount. Got an e-mail that their staff had checked the bed and found no bugs. I wondered if this was the same crack staff that missed the long hair in the sink and the pretzel under the desk!
Never got a discount. They billed me full price and it took me 3 days of e-mails to get them to send me an invoice. Never, Never, again.

Thank you for informing us of your issues. It is policy to give additional review of any reports of customer service or cleanliness issues and correct said issues as necessary. In this case, we had Orkin Pest Control investigate the entire property to be sure there was no “critters” on site, and brought our own staff, including maintenance, housekeeping and management personnel. I assure you we are pest free, and appreciate you bringing any concerns to our attention. We hope you enjoyed the duration of your time in the Champlain Valley.
