“Surprisingly interesting, even without children”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

We didn't know what to expect but for $3 per person, we were hoping for more than a glance through a window pane. And we did get more, much more. Very interesting tour which takes you through the many processes required to assemble a teddy bear. Even the kids in our tour group liked it. The tour guide was excellent and the premises are magical. Wish I was young again...

“Excellent product, poor tour guides”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

The tour was too short and the guide was not informative enough to make us want to stay. We left quickly. The bears are wonderful thought and worth the money.

“Fun for kids & somewhat interesting”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

Although the tour was interesting and our guide, Anthony, was entertaining, the $6 fee was too much for this tour, especially if you have kids & they want a bear after the tour.

“Great Marketing Scheme”
Reviewed August 11, 2012

We all know the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory Tour is a great marketing scheme - but it's really fun too! Alex, our tour guide, was very entertaining. And everybody got a teddy bear pin to wear home. Of course you know you will buy a teddy bear, but they have small bears for only $30 and that was enough to make the three children in our group happy.

“Stop if you're in the area and you have kids...”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

...but be prepared to be asked for a $40+ bear. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but it was an acceptable way to spend 2 hours on a rainy day. The lady who gave our tour tried way too hard to engage the adults, and as a result, the kids were bored in about 10 minutes. We happened to be there on a day where, for whatever reason, only about 5 people were working on the factory floor (the economy, perhaps? Very painful to see.) Our guide cracked the requisite corny jokes, but failed to really do anything but spend 30 minutes advertising the bears. The tour does give you a small fuzzy bear outline for free, cut from extra fur, which was cute and helped us avoid going home empty-handed. My nine year old wanted a bear badly, but she realized that $40+ is a crazy amount to pay for any stuffed animal, even if it is guaranteed for life. We had a wonderful time looking at the gorgeous outfits in the workshop area, which is a lot like Build A Bear, but much more detailed an intricate. However, my budget only goes so far, so all we purchased were tour tickets.
