We stayed here for a night while in town for a family event. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, and convenient. There are restaurants, grocery store, and more easily walked to across the parking lot. Pool is small, but about what I expected.

We will probably stay here again if we have to stay in Rutland again.

My son and I stayed here overnight and found it to be a wonderful hotel. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The room had two queen beds, desk, dresser with TV and chest, on which you could place a suitcase. The bathroom was very clean and had plenty of towels, extra toilet tissue and extra facial tissue.

There is a small, nicely heated, pool and a small workout room. Again, plenty of towels. There is a business center, amply equipped.

Warm, fresh baked cookies in the evening are a great touch, and of course the 24 hour complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate are appreciated.

The breakfast was the usual Hampton generous assortment - eggs, biscuits, cereals, breads, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit etc.

There are plenty of restaurant choices nearby, some easily within walking distance.

The general manager, Lainnie (?), was very friendly and approachable. It was apparent that she cares that her customers enjoy their stay at the hotel. Although our stay was free (cashing in points) our room was valued at $119.99. There are many other choices of hotels in Rutland, but I would highly recommend staying at this Hampton Inn.

We stayed here for a skiing vacation, as a base for some of the mountains. It was convenient, the staff was very nice, and the facility looked close to brand new. The pool was nice, and the beds super comfortable. The only disappointment was the "hot breakfast." This is not what you think it is. Yes there is one choice of a hot food, but it would be a hot biscuit with gravy, frozen-type french toast sticks or something like that. It's OK, but not exactly a "hearty" breakfast before skiing. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Hotel was built in 2006. It looks new and is clean. It had all the great things HI's are noted for...comfy bed, nice breakfast, cozy gathering area, pool.
The hotel is located between a Holiday Inn and a shopping mall...so...take your pick, a view of another hotel or a big parking lot and stores...
In addition to the mall and Holiday Inn...you are also close to many fast food restaurants. We were there for a hockey game at the Rutland Field House which is not even 2 minutes away. I'm told skiing is also about 5 minutes away.
Since the hotel was $169/night, I don't think it was a good value.

We were visiting the area to watch some college soccer games. My son was staying at another hotel but that one was full so we tried the Hampton. We had reserved a king bed and upon check in we were told that we had a king room that was a handicap room. Not sure why we got a handicap room as we did not request it nor did we need one so this was a little funny. We went to the room to find that it did not have a sofa as stated and did not have a tub or anything like one. It is a great room for someone handicap but the shower was just a shower on the wall and the drain in the middle of the bathroom floor so everything was wet after taking a shower. This was a bit of a pain for us but again, if you needed this room it seemed to be great.

In the morning as we are getting ready for the day, a knock comes to the door, it was the maid ready to turn over the room, thought we were gone. We usually put out the do not disturb sign but there was not one offered for us to use, I guess they do not have them here? Anyway, we finished getting ready and headed off to the free breakfast. The 6 tables were full and there was a line of people getting food or something, we took a look at what was offered and quickly decided that we were going out to breakfast as this was not worth our time.

For the area and for where we were traveling this hotel worked out and we possibly could stay here again if we are in the area based on the other hotels we saw in the area.

This is a very nice hotel off of Route 7. Yes it is near a shopping center but that is a positive. There are resturants within walking distance as well as a fablulous grocery store.

Check in was easy and the staff was polite and pleasant. We were allowed to keep our motorcycles under the overhang which was nice since the next day it rained all day. The rooms are great and the beds are so comfortable. Lots of pillows and towels as well as sample size essentials. The room was very clean as were the common areas. The property was quiet and we definately slept well.

There is an indoor pool which we did not use but it looked nice and clean. The laundry facilities are good and there is a small shop where you can purchase soap, small snacks and drinks.

The free breakfast was sufficient and good and coffee is available all day. Walk over to the 99 Diner for dinner. Good service and good food at a reasonable price.

Since we were unable to travel due to the storms, we stayed an extra day and rented a car from Budget. The rental agency (read store) is about 4 miles down the road. We were picked up at the hotel and when we returned the car we were dropped off at the hotel. Jim and Mike were wonderful and the rate was good.

Definately would stay at this hotel again.

As we arrived at this hotel we noticed it was brand new. Tess the front desk atendent greeted us. Check in was great we were on the first floor. When we oppend the door it smelt funny like smoke but we rellized the coffe pot was on and was letting out smoke. The room was nice and clean but small. The breakfeast was not very good. The eggs looked like they were plastic but the other things looked fine. Tess the front desk attendet was very nice and sooo helpfull. ( tip dont eat at weather vain seafood it is terrible)The matresses were very confertable and the coffe bar is very nice cause it is open 24/7 and you can stop by to get coffe and hot chocotale. The pool is very small and there is not hottube. so over all it is a vey nice hotel.
