Stayed for one night when arriving very late in Rutland. Though a little alarmed by prior reviews, but were happy to find a clean, comfortable and recently touched up room with a functional microwave, refrigerator and tv.

This place has all the basics for a reasonable price. Major renovations are in progress, but I would consider this a plus and not a fault as it means the owner is upgrading the property.

On the down side, sink drained very slowly and shower plumbing had an ongoing leak, annoying but not deal breakers for us. Also, the room is spartan - if interior decorating is important to you, stay elsewhere.

Positives include a friendly, cheerful staff (even late at night), and an good breakfast in the morning with a variety of hot and cold foods.

With the expectation of renovation being completed by our next visit, we would stay again.

Really dirty, bed smelled like smoke in a nonsmoking room, TV didn't work. Toilet paper simply set on the back of the toilet rather than in the holder, which was nonexistent. Light next to the bed didn't work.

Overall, a real dump. The only good I could find was the internet worked well and the shower was hot. Friendly staff, but terrible accommodations.

Was really disappointed in this Choice Privilege hotel. Surprised they would allow such low quality. It needs maintenance and updating. Was not very clean and bed was not comfortable. Breakfast was okay. Would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed here one night as a last resort because all the hotels around here were booked. Awful..awful...
The place was so run down and looked dumpy. They were remodeling the place, so at least they were trying...The tub in the bathroom looked dirty.... There were some shady looking characters hanging out in the parking lot drinking making noise right outside our room...Look for someplace else to stay.

My wife and I stopped here because all the other hotels were sold out of inexpensive rooms. I asked the guy at the front desk for a room with queen beds. When we got to the room it had two full size beds in it. I returned to the front desk and he said that they only have queen beds. I was too exhausted to argue with him. I did not appreciate him thinking that we would not notice that the beds were not queen beds. The clerk at the front desk the next morning said that she had looked into one of the remodeled rooms and it looked to her like the beds were small also. The front desk area stunk. There were sketchy people hanging around the outside of the hotel drinking beer. There was a sign saying that they were doing remodeling but they could atleast run a vacuum cleaner to clean up the hall ways when they are done each day. The room was a remodeled one and it still smelled like paint. It had a new tv and was fairly clean. There wasnt an alarm clock in the room and it appeared there was other furniture like chairs and tables missing. .You can do much better in the area and if not I would keep on driving to the next town before I would stay here.

Room Tip: Do not stay here.

We stayed here for one night on our way back to Boston. How grateful we were that it was only for one night. Although the room was clean, the bedding, towels, furnishings etc etc etc are disgraceful. There is a sign up saying they are remodelling, but I think it should be knocked down and started again from scratch. The professional photos show it to look beautiful but the guest ones are a lot more accurate.

Room Tip: Don't stop here

We stayed here for 5 days as we traveled around VT.

During our stay the staff was very nice and acommondating to taking care of our needs and answering questions about the area.

Our room was clean and comfortable--the breakfast that was provided included scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt and variety of breads, bagels
cereals etc.
