“Eat here, not Burlington”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2012

I wish there was a way to link this restaurant to Burlington so tourists looking for restaurants in "Burlington" know there's a place off the beaten path worth visiting. A local brought me here and I loved it - never would have found it otherwise. I'm still dreaming about the pate and my dinner of pork was terrific too. A few people noted it's pricey... I live in Boston so this didn't seem that pricey to me.

“this restaurant is our benchmark”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2012

The black bean ravioli and the ahi tuna here just cannot be beat. Monica, the chef, is one of the best chefs in VT, hands down. Never a disappointing experience. She serves fresh, beautifully prepared food that is always exceptionally delicious. Every time we go somewhere else, Sonoma Station is our benchmark and we cannot find a place we like better. We love the waitstaff and the intimate setting. We don't mind if it is not as quiet as some people may prefer. We have never found it to be loud. You will never be disappointed. She obviously cares about the food she allows to go out of her kitchen. Specials are always a treat, too! The chef and her staff are to be commended at keeping up the high quality of this restaurant. I continue to recommend it at the risk of making it more difficult to get a reservation :)

“Very nice service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2012

The service was the best part for us. We ordered the polenta fries, cheese plate, black bean ravioli. Everything was pretty good. We wanted to love it, but given the price and quality, especially in comparison to the Kitchen Table, which is right down the road, we probably won't be returning for some time.
Caveat: we are vegetarian, and the meat-eater who accompanied us loved her food. Another veg friend of ours just loves the ravioli, so this was just our opinion.

“Excellent small chef run restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2012

We've been several times to Sonoma Station, a small chef owned local place that has the most fantastic, creative and ever changing menu. We've never had a bad meal here. Chef uses many local products and is always changing things up. Good wine list and great cocktails. As far as I know, it's only open 3 or 4 days a week- but it's worth seeking out. One of the best in town.

“What a delightful surprise.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2012

I've heard about Sonoma Station, but with all the great restaurants in downtown Burlington, we never made it out to Richmond.
On one rainy night, we decided not to go downtown and luckily landed a reservation.
Small and intimate. Staff were delightful. The menu, impressive.

My only criticism would be, with a packed house, it was QUITE noisy. So buffer curtains between tables or sections my help.
