Jumpers like this place, alas. Please don't slow down too much when on the road bridge. Park either end and walk back to look. None of the immediately nearby restaurants are particularly good

“Nice Spot for Pictures”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

This place was a great spot for a short hike. The scenery was memorable. It provided several opportunities for some great pictures. The shops nearby also provide some diversion.

“Worth the hike”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

I visited Quechee Gorge in 2001 accidentally while passing through the area and I thought it was beautiful. While staying in Woodstock (only a few minutes away, by car) with my wife and daughter, I decided to take them to see it. We hiked down the sloping trail (muddy and partially covered in snow/ice, but still walk-able) to the bottom of the gorge (about half a mile). If the rocks are exposed enough and you can walk out a bit to get a view of the bridge from the bottom, I highly recommend it. The view from the top of the bridge is also spectacular. Across the parking lot is a large shopping center, including a shop for Cabot cheese.

“Interesting diversion”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

It is a little over billed as the "Grand Canyon of the East Coast." However if you are spending an afternoon in Quechee it is worth the stop to see it. Takes about 5 minutes.
