“Great find!”
Reviewed October 26, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I went searching for some coffee, some atmosphere and a bite in the morning. Vermont apple pie was a pleasant surprise! I wasn't expecting to eat a big breakfast but apple crisp waffles?? How do you not indulge? Great place. Highly recommended.

“Hands Down the Best Breakfast”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

The breakfasts here are like no other I have ever experienced. The waffles with their many, many combos to their omlettes are unbelievable. Food was fresh and DELICIOUS. Some of their items are pricier, but so totally worth it. We went here two days in a row when we stayed 2 nights here. I would have gone a 3rd day if we had stayed. I had the apple crisp waffle with real homemade whipped cream and VT maple syrup. The omelette was stuffed with steak, mushrooms, peppers, and broccoli. You will not be disappointed if you eat here. They are open most days 8-2p for breakfast only.

“Cinnastack Supreme!”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

I live in Rutland and every chance I get I come here for the Amazing Cinnamon Pancakes. Everything the James family makes here is from scratch and DELICIOUS. I have a hard time choosing anything new because the Cinnamon pancakes make IHOP look like they were pulled from a dumpster. If you're staying at any of the lodges like Okemo, The Castle or Echo Lake, VT Apple Pie is a must eat stop!

“Perhaps best breakfast ever”
Reviewed September 10, 2013 via mobile

Interesting location (yes, keeping going down the driveway), not handicap accessible, and a rather gruff host could not take away from the fact that breakfast was amazing. Biscuits and gravy, fluffy scrambled eggs, and spicy home fries with a little kick. This is the kind of food you want to keep eating even though you don't have room for another bite. Wife's strawberry French toast was perfect as well with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Portions were huge, I didn't have to eat again until 6:30 that night. Be prepared: it is expensive especially for breakfast. Total for 2 was $36 which twice what we spent at cafe at delight the previous day.
