After reading the reviews here and because our hotel was charging $10/pp for a continental breakfast, we ate breakfast at this sweet cafe. It was so good our first morning, we returned the next morning. With a coffee house vibe, and a fairly comprehensive breakfast menu at reasonable prices, it made us happy. It seems to be popular with the locals, too. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, french toast delicious, omelets are excelllent, and of course the bread and muffins are home-made. Yum!

Crows Bakery was damaged in the floods but plans to open again shortly. It is a lovely and charming breakfast and lunch place with wonderful breads that they sell to local stores. We miss it so much now that it's closed.

Just had my first visit to Crows with a friend who visits often for their bread and pastries. We had lunch while we were there and it was wonderful. A tomato soup with lime that was light and refreshing and a bacon, tomato and cheese sandwich grilled on homemade bread that was the best I've had yet. I can't wait to stop in again for the soup of the day and to try another sandwich and then taking home a fresh loaf of bread, and maybe a pastry or two.

We've owned a condo or house in Ludlow skiing Okemo for the last 10 years. We've always loved going next door to Proctorsville as Singleton's General Store is our favorite meat, beer and sandwich place.

Last year we discovered Opera House Cafe and we go there every single time we go to Ludlow to ski Okemo or during the fall foliage scene. It's simply the best breakfast spot in the entire area by far.

First, everything is made incredibly fresh which just by the baking smells walking in you get a hint/scent that you are in for something special. Not fast food at all, we typically get their blueberry pancakes, french toast which is my favorite (both w/ homegrown VT maple syrup) and the kids love their omelettes and homefries.

Their muffins and various cinnamon buns are to die for and we usually escape w/ a fresh baked loaf of bread or two. Really nice VT people own and run it, I've always left there w/ a smile and a thank you.

Best of all for me, in this relaxing, great food place is that...... they have free wi-fi. So not only do I slow down for the 1 hour of my life at breakfast, I surf and enjoy a second cup of great coffee.

Believe me on this one, it's a gem of a place that when you "discover" it , it will keep you coming back time and time again.

Enjoyed breakfast here yesterday and today when we were in Ludlow on vacation -- so glad we took a wrong turn and stumbled upon this cafe. Everything offered is made from scratch and the man who waited on us was friendly. It's a casual spot -- you order at the counter and your plates are brought to your table.

The blueberry pancakes, home-made breads (which they sell by the loaf), omelets and homefries were all tasty. The bread was so good, we bought a loaf to bring home. And, like any good Vermont restaurant, the pancakes were served with real maple syrup.
