We stayed for three nights mid-week at the start of the fall foliage season. The Amee Lodge is at a very good location - central to many little villages and the Green Mountains, and there is a 'General Store' less than 5 min of the lodge that makes great meals of all sizes and tastes.

The especial pros woth highlighting: this is a great lodge that has been interestingly renovated - it has a LOT of character. It is even nicer than the images on their web site. The rooms are big and there seems to be a good selection of them - which was perfect for us as it allowed flexibility in how long we wanted to stay. The staff are extremely helpful and have a lot of tips about the local area. There are plenty of general living area that the visitors can use - and the balcany is great for relaxing.

We did not feel there were any real cons. The beds were on the hard side hence average for sleep quality.

A few additional pieces of information may be worth sharing:
* the lodge is definitely more of a 'lodge' than a B&B in ambience and the way it is run. Also, at weekends it is often a venue for events (retreats, weddings, etc).
* the lodge is ran by staff as opposed to directly by the owners. To us, the communicaton between the staff seemed seamless and by speaking to different people we got a range of tips and information about the local area - we thought this a bonus.
* during mid-week, when the lodge is quieter, the deal could be described as 'bed and coupon'. The 'coupon' is a ticket for a great breakfast at the 'General Store' and anyone getting the 'B&C' should consider themselves lucky - we loved this!!

Overall, we had a very good stay. The mid-week price was a bargain and we would most definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the 'old side' are much lighter with morning sun and the wireless seems to work ok...

We did not have a reservation and happened upon the Inn on our travels to Stowe, VT. They were in preparation for a wedding that weekend but welcomed us with open arms. The room was fantastic and my husband can't stop talking about the beautiful shower! Simon and Jessica were very infomative on the area, the nature trail and fun to talk with. We would stay here again if we get back in the area. Cleanliness was awesome!

Room Tip: We stayed in the room that overlooked the back yard at the far end of the house. Very quiet, just a...

We were taking a weekend drive through the green mountains to see the autumn foliage and hoped to come upon an interesting place to stay the night. As we drove past the lodge it looked so nice we called in to see if they had a room, and luckily there was one room left! We stayed in the suite on the 3rd floor which was a beautifully decorated attic with luxury bathroom and king bed. The views across the countryside were stunning. Included was a lovely dinner which we shared with hosts Simon and Jessica - a wonderful evening in wonderful company. The common areas were cozy and hospitable - we found a game of scrabble in an old chest and spent a couple of hours relaxing with a glass of wine and pre dinner snacks. Prior to that we had been for a hike on a trail across the road and made friends with the farm animals at Amee Farm. The atmosphere was so inviting and relaxing - this was all due to our hosts who couldn't have done a better job -they made our stay above and beyond just staying in a beautiful location. We would definitely stay there again and will also be recommending the place to friends and family.

Room Tip: The suite is the more expensive option but all of the room looked lovely.

Recently stayed at Amee Farm with hosts Jessica and Simon for a wedding on 8/4/12 at Riverview Farms. Absolutely loved this place! Hosts were so personable and helpful at all times. Really enjoyed the continental breakfast on the spacious porch. The Inn just had a way of making you feel so relaxed with the beautiful scenery and clean accomodations. Our room was always cleaned when we returned from breakfast and always comfortable temperature wise. Views were beautiful and peaceful. Would not hestitate to stay here again with Jessica and Simon.

Room Tip: We stayed in The Lamb, Room #3, which was very nice. Some of the wedding party stayed upstairs and...

I ended up staying at Amee Farm by chance. They had a cancellation during a busy weekend for them. I jumped on the chance based on all the positive comments I had heard. The staff went above and beyond to help me out throughout my stay. I have never felt so at home at any other bed and breakfast.

I stayed in Room 2 and would have taken the bed with me if I had been able to use it as my carry on. It's much nicer than my king size bed at home. Sitting out on the porch in the evening with the other guests was a highlight as well. I have already booked my stay for next year!

Room Tip: I don't mind sharing a bathroom, but not all the rooms have a private bathroom. If it's a mu...

This was my second time staying at Amee Farm Lodge. The first time I left in love with it and this time I fell even more. The lodge is beautifully decorated and so comfortable to relax at. The beds are amazing and sure to provide you with a good night sleep. Breakfast in the morning was just right with fresh berries, yogurt, cereal, breads and muffins. The innkeepers, Jessica and Simon are wonderful and make you feel like they couldn't do enough to help you enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great and unique! If you want to get away from neighbors book the third floor roo...

This is a beautiful, rustic farmhouse Inn, located on the hill just outside the village of Pittsfield. The rooms are spacious, extremely comfortable and have beautifully redone showers. There are some great hiking trails and picturesque cows, geese, goats and sheep nearby. Across the street, there are some great mountain bike and hiking trails. The innkeepers are wonderful, and serve a great breakfast. We were there for a wedding, but look forward to going back just to enjoy the inn.
