My mom, kids (ages 8 & 5) and I visited the Montshire Museum yesterday and all really enjoyed it. We got there right at 10:00 and found that it filled up pretty quickly afterwards, only to empty out right after lunch, around 1:00. It was a very hands-on museum with so many activities and exhibits we all liked. They had several short 'classes' while we were there; my kids made paper-cup phones and learned about leaf cutter ants and spinning. The museum itself isn't huge, but offers a lot to do. Another bonus, it was very clean. There are some hiking trails and outdoor activities for warmer months. Afterwards, we crossed the bridge to Hanover, NH (home of Dartmouth College) for a great lunch in a beautiful town.
