We were happy with our stay at the Perry Farm. It gave us a chance to relax and cook our own meals.
It is very quiet and remote.
James and Laura were very nice hosts.
We wanted to escape to somewhere quiet for a rest and to enjoy the lovely Vermont countryside. 'Farmstay' is the perfect retreat. Ideal for couples young and old. The welcoming owners are around if you need advice or supplies but, if it's peace and quiet you want, it's only the cockerel, the geese and cicadas you'll hear!
The ground-floor dwelling is a relatively new add-on to the working farm. It's very comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. All linens and towels provided and replenished. No tv is a plus. The outside deck offers spectacular views across the valley and somewhere to sit out and relax.
Northfield is a short drive away for a supermarket. Montpelier is less than half-an-hour's drive. Take the scenic route (not a winter road!) to Burlington up and over the hills. Woodstock is about an hour away and worth a visit too.
James and Laura have lovingly built their farm and its extension and are keen, eco-friendly farmers and welcoming hosts.
