One of the blessings and curses of modern life is chain restaurants. As such, this is typical of the Wendy's chain. However, the main incentive of writing this review is to help the burger-searcher new to Newport to find the place.
It seems relatively easy, particularly if one is coming down Access Road from I-91. There it is, the familiar Wendy's sign. However, wait a moment. Like some sort of medieval fortification, there's a berm that would daunt a Humvee.
The trick is to turn left and follow State Route 5 for a hundred or so yards and then turn right into the Waterfront Plaza. However, this Wendy's isn't part of the main shopping complex. In fact, in some seasons, it's not particularly visible from the entrance. Back track along the berm-railroad track, and you'll find it.
