We stayed at the Village Victorian this past weekend for one night with a total of 18 people. Our party maxed out the Inn as we took up every room. Our party consisted of four couples traveling with 10 children ages 8-16. We couldnt have been more pleased. The home was beautifully kept with charming details like built ins and unique mounding, antiques and old photos. The decor was very pretty and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. All the linens were fresh and soft and they provided us with plenty of towels to accomodate our large gang.
We needed to use 3 roll away cots and those of us who slept on them were comfortable as well as they were large and had soft bedding. The home was immaculate and we felt comfortable lounging in their living room near the fireplace.
Philip and Ellen were kind and tolerant of our late evening arrival with a gaggle of kids(and adults for that matter) who had just been cooped up in a car for 5 hours. A few of our boys enjoyed playing a quick song on their piano and our little girls loved the antique doll house.
Breakfast was very good. As in other reviews, the table setting was beautiful. The dining room itself was just a gorgeous room. The food was delicious. We had pancakes, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and an assortment of fruits, and of course Vermont cheddar. The delicious homemade bread and maple butter was out of this world as was the berry compote.
We have stayed at several B&Bs in Vermont and this place is at the top of our list.

Room Tip: Some of their rooms have bathrooms that are outside the bedroom door in the hall. Their website clea...

We stayed in the Pickwick Room while on our anniversary trip to go snowboarding at Stowe. The breakfasthere is amazing. Loved trying the local foods for breakfast and my husband loved the fresh baked things Philip would make each morning. We had a ton of luggage and there was a lot of space in the room. Closet to hang our many coats seen as it was winter when we visited. It was such a cozy warm atmosphere and you could tell the owners love what they do and that the other guests were happy to be there as well. My husband is 6'2 and the bathtub and shower were nice and large for him he loved it.

Room Tip: The pickwick room has a seperate bathroom. If your on a budget this is a great option seen as it is...

We stayed at VV for 2 nights and it was very pleasant experience. To summarize:
Pros
The owners are very friendly and helpful
Good hearty breakfast
Room is very clean, nicely decorated and has its own climate control
Bathroom is very clean
Location is very convenient
a large DVD collection of movies (for free)
Wonderful large guest room with fireplace, sofas and decor, open for all guests

Cons
You can hear all your neighbors very well through the walls, due to old house construction. It can be somewhat stressful if you want to watch a movie late at night, or your neighbors are talking loudly.

appreciated your review... glad it was a good experience... mostly anyway...:) Every once in a while we get some folks who turn up the volume on their TV... mostly they are older folks like me who are hard of hearing... not sure how to get past that one..... we'll think on it though.

Village Victorian Bed and Breakfast of Morrisville, VT was everything we wanted it to be and more! The room was quaintly decorated and clean, the house was homey, and the food was superb! The owners also were very good at helping to make little day trips interesting with their insider knowledge. They made us feel at home very quickly. We left feeling that we had known them for years! There is even a sweet, little gift shop that makes Christmas shopping easy!

Room Tip: Some rooms have their own bathroom, while others need to share with another room.

Thank you for the very lovely review... thought I should point out that all our rooms have private bathrooms... 3 of them are ensuite... 2 of them are entered just outside the bedroom doors... easy to understand that it appears to be a shared bathroom.... :) We know the importance of not having to share a bathroom with other guests...:) Thanks again for the great review.

Didn't know what to expect when we arrived ,but were warmly greeted by our host. Lovely room, wonderful breakfast (the beautifully laid table looked like Xmas when we came down in the morning)and charming hosts. The house is lovely and welcoming as you pull into the drive.A quiet place in which to unwind,it has a serenity about it that you don't find in many places. That is due to Philip and Ellen as they make you feel at home immediately. If we ever go back to the area again we will definitely stay there. They go to such a lot of trouble to make their guests happy. Highly recommend Village Victorian. One of the nicer places we stayed at touring around.

Phillip and Ellen are amazing hosts and welcomed my wife and I in from the night with a warm smile. We stayed at in the Lilac room. Ellen was kind enough to provide us with 2 wine glasses and a bottle opener so that my wife and I could celebrate our Anniversary with our bottle of red zin. We spent most of our time on the very nice private deck which was accessible through a door in our room. The setup was quiet and private and the environment was clean and peaceful. Breakfast was amazing - french toast, maple cream, maple syrup, bacon, fruit, and cheddar cheese with an endless flow of coffee.

Thanks again for the excellent atmosphere,
Thorn & Maureen Winter

I have to say it was a LOVELY experience staying at this B&B. I stayed there five nights and had something to do EVERY DAY. Ellen and Phillip (whom I decided to secretly call Ellip until...NOW) are wonderful hosts. I didn't want to let Phil know but I have to say he makes the BEST pastries with maple cream (his head would explode--ha!). Ellen is so gracious and just wonderful to chat with. On a more serious note: the town is absolutely CUTE. The B&B sits just about a 10 minute drive from Stowe and half hour from Montpelier. You could hear the church bells ringing every hour on the hour. The smell of bacon was our alarm clock for breakfast. The food was divine and the B&B itself is just so charming. I loved chatting with both Ellen and Phil. I'll definitely be heading back there on future trips and I hope that everyone reading this will give this place a try. :)
