“A must see!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

If you have the time and can find a parking spot you should make it a point to see the VT State House. It has a number of interesting stair cases and portraits throughout.

Check the website for tour times or go on your own. Still one of the few State House's that you can just walk in. You might even get to see the Governor.

“Oldest functioning state house”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

The Vermont State House is a beautifully historically restored venue where legislative activities still are carried on. It's a step back in time where one can experience contemporary legislation being made.

“Montpelier - user friendly State Capitol”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

One of, and perhaps the prettiest state capitol. Also the smallest with a population of 8,500. 4 bookstores, 3 music stores, great boutiques, great coffee shops and some excellent food.
