We were off to Huntington, VT for a weekend wedding and needed a place to stay at near there before the weekend started. Booked online for a good rate and we were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. The room was clean and tidy, A/C worked great and we had a pleasant night of rest. The free breakfast wasn't too bad, eggs, bagels, coffee, OJ, cereal - just what you would expect. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Nice place to crash for the night when passing through VT!

We arrived with reservations in hand. Crowded check-in with one person behind desk trying to check-in every one, answer phones and answer questions. We arrived in our room and walked right out with our luggage in our hands. Moldy, mildewy and damp smelling. Could not even breath and almost got sick from smell. The air conditioner was very loud. We asked for another room but same thing. Rooms were small. We left and stayed somewhere else nicer.

Real problems with the hotel. Needs help! Should not be open until it is cleaned up.

Desk person was very helpful and apolized ten times.

This place is a sty. A very sketchy hole in the bathroom wall above the mirror. Just an awful place to be. Front desk staff were rude and had no clue. Stay away.

I was on a 5 day business trip to Montpelier, VT and stayed at the Inn Montpelier the first 2 nights - room and bathroom were too small for two people sharing the room. Drove by Econo Lodge, checked out the rooms and was pleasantly surprised at the much reduced price for much larger room and bathroom. It was clean, service was very good, made very good business sense and experience in this hotel. I will stay here again in my next business trip. Location was more quiet than downtown and yet only less than a quarter mile to downtown.

Room Tip: Compared to other expensive hotels in downtown Montpelier, this is of great value, safe, so much roo...

Not even worth the $60. We stayed here one night on the way to Montreal. The bathroom was nasty, with grime in the corners and a sticky hair dryer. The only window looks out into the hall. So we had to keep the shade drawn. The hall bakes like a greenhouse. And the whole place smelled like smoke from the guys who were hanging out outside the lobby.

I agree with another reviewer, the air in the room was extremely stale and there must of been mold or mildew somewhere. Every morning my husband and I would wake up with swollen lymph nodes and crude in our noses/mouth. This usually happens to us when there is mold. The bathroom was really just dirty, pieces of hair on the sink. When the cleaners came you could tell they didn't "clean" the bathroom because it was still dirty with hair. Shower was okay...it was hard to get the water to a good temperature but we eventually figured it out. The whole place just felt dirty. Better off staying somewhere else!
