I highly recommend this hotel! Great staff, comfortable and clean rooms and a great breakfast! The entry to the hotel was decorated for fall and was so welcoming! Complimentary soda, coffee and cookies in the lobby was a nice touch. Bottled water and a Keurig coffe maker in the room was an added bonus! No elevator so keep that in mind when selecting a floor preference if needed. You will really feel like a valued guest when you stay here.

Dear bonusmomx3,

We appreciate you taking the time to write a wonderful review for us on TripAdvisor.

One of the best things about TripAdvisor is being able to share important information and educate other travelers. We do not have an elevator, so it is pretty important to let us know if climbing a flight of stairs is not for you. We do our best to meet your needs and have a great staff who love helping you with your luggage. All you need to do is ask!

Thank you again for staying with us and we hope to see you again soon!

This was a first trip for me in several years as I had to attend a funeral in Montpelier.

This Comfort Inn was decent overall and had a nice breakfast. Staff was good to us as well.

We did find a horde of Ants in our room which of course was unpleasant. We watered them down and scooped them up with toilet paper. Also, found a used "adult item" on the floor at the head of the bed when I dropped my cell phone down there. Gross is the nicest word I can use to describe the feeling of holding that in my hand unexpectedly.

Price was unusually high, just above $140.00 or so.

Dear Lisa D,

So very sorry about all the problems you encountered while staying with us. Our Front Desk staff has a communications book that is used with comments from our Guests and I could not find a conversation regarding any extra critters in anyone's room for the past month. We take great pride in providing a clean and critter free room - apologies are not enough in this situation. We like to think of our Hotel as a home and things do go wrong once in a while. Please contact me directly to discuss.

We were only staying in the area for one night on our way to Maine, so this hotel was a very pleasant surprise. I've not stayed in many Comfort Inns, but maybe that will change in the future. Not only was it clean, attractive, and convenient, but it also offered a wide range of amenities that you don't usually find at this price: cookies, free bottled water, even free cans of soft drinks from a cooler in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and obviously focused on customer service.

When we walked in the door, we were surprised to see my name as "Guest of the Day", which brought us an upgrade to a really swank suite and a number of other goodies. But even if we had ended up in the room that we originally booked, we would have nothing but good things to say about this property!

The desk clerk was amazing. Friendly, informative, helpful and the room was fantastic. Free cookies and beverages in the evening and an Applebee's on the property. Also decorated for fall, nie touch. There were plenty of brochures available of area attractions. The smell of cookies baking was wonderful.

Room Tip: All smelled fresh and new

Dear Terri M,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we are doing! We appreciate your kind words. One of my favorite things to do is decorate for fall and each week something new mysteriously appears... Sue

We recently stayed here while attending a wedding in nearby Roxbury. The room was clean and well stocked with extra towels, bottled water, a microwave and fridge. We found the hotel quiet, the breakfast was nice, make your own Belgian waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereals, bagels, etc.. Our room even had its own Keuring with yummy green mountain coffee, which they replenished daily. The bed was comfortable and the cleaning crew seemed to keep watch of when we left so they did not disturb us on the days we got a later start, but would still come back to our room all made up and re-stocked. The lobby had fresh yummy cookie every afternoon as well as bottled water and soda if you desired. There was a small convenience store right outside the parking lot that was handy if you did not want to go to the grocery store across the street. The staff was very friendly. The gym was nice, small but never crowded. The location was reasonably central to lots of activities. There was no pool, but we were too busy to have used it anyway, and there was an Applebees right next store. My only complaint would be the parking lot, it was crowded close to the entrance late every night when we came in, the problem seemed to be motor cycles taking up two spots, they probably should have parked in the lot further down with the oversized vehicles. There was plenty of parking in the lot further down, you just had to walk late at night. I just would have preferred those taking two spots park further out. All in all we will stay here again if we visit, we had a great stay.

Dear vacalover13,

Thank you for taking the time to write such an in depth review of our facility and staff! We appreciate your time in doing so.

I am sorry we did not catch the double dipper on the parking spaces while you were here. We are usually quite on top of who is making it more difficult for the guests needing to be closer to the building. We expanded our lot a couple of years ago to make room for the larger trucks and those hauling trailers so everyone has a comfortable parking space.

If you are ever on the East Coast again - we certainly hope to see you!
