Shawna and Eamon have a wonderful property with three guest houses featuring different themes - an Asian Pagoda, the Vermont-inspired Sugarshack and the Caribe Cabin. We stayed in the Caribe, their dog-friendly house, and it was beautiful. Eamon does a beautiful job building these little houses (yes, he builds them himself) and Shawna spares no attention to detail. Each cabin comes with a small convection oven, microwave and mini-fridge with separate freezer. There are dishes, cleaning detergent, even a dog bed if you need one. They really do think of everything you could need.
Once you arrive, you won't want to leave. It's quiet, peaceful and a needed change from New York City. The skiing at Jay Peak is top rate and Shea'dy Acres has discounts to the ski lift. Good local restaurant nearby boasting locally-brewed beer and genuinely nice workers. In fact, everyone up there is really nice. No wonder we loved it so much!
Lastly (and most importantly) if you get snowed in and your car won't budge an inch, Shawna will roll up her sleeves and help dig you out. I don't know about you, but that's what I call customer service! Check this place out...you won't regret it...
