Nice location by the river , wood paneling and antique bar inside, and near to town. Ordered the French onion soup which was good, but not outstanding. The salad bar had an interesting selection. Although there weren't the standard carrots and green peppers, there were artichoke hearts , cottage cheese, and tuna salad! A little unexpected but maybe because it was Monday . The salad bar also had very nice loaves of full grain bread, another unexpected bonus. One friend ordered a Vegeburger, and she reported that it was prepared so that it was moist. We also ordered the Thai wrap, and she reported that it had a nice flavor, but she swore she was eating "warm peanut butter". Thai dressing does contain peanuts, but is it supposed to taste like warm Skippy? I read that the chicken wings were good and I wish I had the appetite for them that day. The server was very pleasant and attentive. Prices were reasonable and fair. Mr. Ups is good for having a nice casual lunch by the river.

Great diner, great atmosphere, good location. The portion size of both the helpings and the diners was obscene.. the double sized seats should have warned this Scottish midget that there was trouble ahead.. ordered a buffalo wing starter. to be followed by a steak.. had to ask for a doggy bag for the starter!! and couldn't face the steak :( x

The location is down near the bridge over Otter Creek, there is quite a bit of outside seating which allowed us to enjoy a nice warm spring day. The creek passes by slowly here and is quite peaceful. The service was very attentive, quickly seated and served. The food is good with decent portions. The only odd thing was they were out of sweet potato fries at the beginning of lunchtime. Prices were on par for a college town/ tourist town. Will definitely be back for another try.

Great food at reasonable prices. Seems to be pretty popular with the Middlebury College crowd, but its easy to see why. Nightly Specials, reasonably priced entrees with generous portions, good sized salad bar, and a wide selection of beverages including wine and several craft style beers. Toasted Sanibel Seafood Melt was to DIE for!! http://www.misterupsvt.com/

First time visitor on a recommendation. Sat at the bar. Bartender was nice and attentive. Had their French onion soup; different than the norm and just average. Also had their signature "Dirty" Steak. 12oz NY Strip that is supposed to be "certified" angus. Found it to be tough and it was over cooked; more medium than medium rare.
