Located by the Frog Hollow artist lane, this little luncheon place is a nice little place off of the beaten path of Main Street in Middlebury. The food is fresh and light. Wraps and salads are always on the menu.

Stopped for lunch on our way through Middlebury. Had the artichoke sandwich, which made you say "wow" from the first bite. Service, especially the host, was excellent (waitress was a little abrupt, but still managed to be pleasant). Food was well prepared, good ingredients and tasty, and the price very reasonable. Also tried local beer on tap, which was also reasonably priced. Sat on the deck, overlooking the river, on a warm summer afternoon - what could be better.

The Strom Cafe is in the center of Middlebury in an area called Frog Hollow, right below the Otter Creek waterfall. The Cafe offers both indoor dining and a riverside deck. In good weather, I prefer the deck, since the indoor space is small and sometimes noisy. Lunch and dinner are served, and the food is always good.

Very cute little place recommended by Frommer's. We sat outside overlooking the river on their lovely patio. Service was friendly and gracious. Food was excellent. You can always tell when the food is fresh and local, and it certainly was here. Great bread...another sign of a great restaurant. Delicious chèvre ravioli appetizer special. The fatoush salad was perfect! Wish we had room for dessert! Good selection of local beers too.

Enjoy the view of Otter Creek from the patio, and the fresh, tasty soup and sandwiches at this favorite of the locals. Try the potato garlic soup, and the artichoke sandwich. A veggie delight. And the desserts are not to be missed.
