The menu shows great balance between avant garde and sensible bistro selections. Soups are neither too concrete-like nor too thin. Sandwiches are perfectly prepared with gorgeous tomato slices from summer gardens. The place is bright and cheerful and outdoors is next to the falls. Bird watchers should delight in the water birds that hang out nearby. Locavores will cheer for the chicken, veggies, and lamb from Vermont sources. Vermont cheeses with the desert are an excellent option. Thank God that the coffee is not extreme, but always fresh brewed and smooth in taste and aroma. Wait service is reasonable and satisfactory, and most of all politely friendly. Take a date.
