We’re new in town and as is our normal M.O. we asked the locals about where to eat. All three we asked recommended Fire and Ice. Off we went!
We entered through the bar door and encountered a huge moose head mounted on the wall. Huge!!! The walls are covered with all kinds of memorabilia including the many mounted fish and game. It was cluttered, but it work with the paneling and lighting.
After drinks, we headed for our table. The décor here was more of the same….and included a couple of real boats. (One mounted upside down on the ceiling and actual speed boat serving as the centerpiece for the buffet. ) Speaking of the buffet, you can have it as your meal for $13, added to your entrée for $6, or you could the get buffet and an appetizer for $18. We both chose the latter.
This buffet offers a wide selection of salad fixings along with peel-n-eat shrimp, fresh bread, fruits, olives, and even all-you-can-drink fresh milk. All is tastefully presented and well chilled. Everything we had was delicious. My appetizer was the prime rib strips and hers was the warm tomato tart. Both were excellent!
Carrie was our server and she did a great job of keeping us supplied with whatever we needed.
Fire and Ice was a hit for us…definitely worth a return visit!
