“Friendly, great food, great stay”
Reviewed April 24, 2009

I stayed at the Waybury Inn for business. The rates in April are lower than during their busy season. The room was small but the bed was very comfortable and it was clean and inviting. It was great having a pub for drinks and a dining facility in site. The staff is very friendly and made my stay much more inviting. I would definitely stay there again and may go back for a vacation to go hiking. No TV in the room was a surprise but it was actually a nice surprise. Gotta get away sometimes even if away on business.

I recently stayed here with my mother and sisters. We had two rooms reserved through an organized tour. I enjoyed the common areas more than our individual rooms, as they just seemed cozier. The pub was great...fun atmosphere and great staff. The food was great. There was a little noise in our front room, but I have learned to travel with ear plugs so it wasn't much of an issue to me. The chocolate cookies they serve in the afternoon were spectacular. The staff was so accomodating and always offered us coffee and tea when we came home each day. One thing that my sister didn't like was that the coffee wasn't available early enough. I think they put it out at 7am...which was plenty early for me! There is a computer for email which was very convenient.

Wonderful and gracious hosts and staff. We enjoyed the room, the decor, and the food was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised to be informed this was the Inn they used for the Bob Newhart show! We will be back.

The Waybury is a delightful place, and the front part of the B & B are the oldest rooms, but we found ourselves hearing the street noise (trucks) much of the night. Although we didn't really want to run the airconditioner, it was the only way to filter out some of the street noise. Our friends who had a room in the back didn't notice it.
The grounds are beautiful, with areas to sit in the shade and observe the gardens. The bar has an outdoor seating area that was lovely. And they serve the most fantastic lemonade and chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon. We were part of a bike touring group, and coming back in the afternoon, the cold lemonade just hit the spot.
We ate dinner in the restaurant, and it was quite good. We enjoyed the big breakfasts as well.

Stayed as part of a wedding. Room was nicely decorated and bathroom was spacious, but the shower needed some help! Water ran super hot one second and cold the next. Taking a shower was a real ordeal....not relaxing, as it should have been.
The included breakfast was good, but a bit heavy/greasy for the summertime.

I took my wife to the Waybury Inn for her birthday. It was nice and the room was cozy, but the bathroom was tiny and cramped. Also, there was a severe heating problem during the night. The heat was blasting throughout the night, and it interrupted our sleep so badly it nearly ruined the weekend. Openning the window in the dead of winter didn't even help. We woke up tired, and thirsty. The innkeepers apologized, but we still left feeling exhausted. The restaurant was great, though. And the pub 'round the back was interesting and fun.
