Restaurant was great. Very attentive service. Tried variety off appetizers. All were good. I had duck for main which was very good as well. Great experience. We had a large group of people with kids and they handled it great , nobody walked out disappointed

I live near NYC and we eat at some of the best restaurants. This competes with any top NYC restaurant. The food is creative, but approachable, and thoroughly delicious. Yes, it's expensive for Vermont, but it's worth it. The pork was the winner at our table, but the rabbit was delicious, as were both the cuts of steak. I really don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.

Reservations are recommended (probably required).

Thank you for your outstanding review! Guests are always pleasantly surprised when they arrive at the the beautiful Red Clover Inn and Restaurant. The atmosphere in itself is worth the detour off of Route 4 and down the winding dirt road to the small Inn. However, the drive is made all the more worth while as soon as you taste one of Chef Colin's fantastic dinners! This review elegantly describes the passion and pride Chef Colin takes with every dish he creates. We look forward to welcoming you back soon for another memorable meal.
Best wishes, Charlotte

The 1st Friday of every month the Red Clover hosts a five course dinner and wine pairing that is simply out of this world. This February they celebrated the fantastic food and wines of Oregon and Washington State. We started with the freshest Oven Roasted Halibut with Blood Orange Aioli I've had since our last trip to Seattle, and a perfect Columbia Valley dry Riesling. Next a rich Cioppino Stew with a surprisingly delightful Rosé. The Smoked Salmon and Caramelized onion Tartlet was sublime with an Oregon Pinot Noir.

The highlight of the night was the Porcini-dusted Pan Seared Elk with a barley risotto and superb Columbia Valley Merlot. Wow! Dessert was a house made Huckleberry Dessert Bar and Lime Sorbet and a velvety Syrah that echoed the rich berry flavor.

Thank you Chef Dave and the always wonderful Red Clover staff for a memorable evening of fine dining. We will be back many times I'm sure.

We are so glad you enjoyed the Pacific Northwest Wine Dinner! Our wine dinners on the first Friday of every month have become a favorite event with both guests and locals alike. Chef Dave and Colin have fun creating their unique 5- course menus and our local wine distributers help to recommend the perfect bottles of wine that will compliment the flavorful dishes. Every month the food and wine highlight a different region of the world. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Red Clover Inn for another wine dinner soon! Best, Charlotte, Innkeeper.

Awesome hidden gem. Great food. Try the lamb. Really clean and interesting interior. Small but very accommodating staff. Go there, it's worth every penny.

We went back to the Red Clover Inn and Restaurant and discovered that Chef Dennis had left. Chef Dave is now at the helm. I have to say that the restaurant has not lost in any aspect. The food is the same delicious with wonderful presentation and great quantity for the money. The service is still very professional, personable without being intrusive and the entire atmosphere was once again very cozy and romantic. The wine list is to die for and the cocktails were some of the best we ever had. So the bottom line is that this place is still one of the best restaurants in Vermont even with a new chef. We will be back again and again.

Thank you for the exceptional review. We are flattered by your response and are pleased our attention to detail and high standards does not go unnoticed. The Red Clover team works hard to ensure our comfortable and welcoming inn feels like home to all of our guests. Chef Dave and Colin continue to prepare the amazing meals for which we are recognized and Thomas certainly does make one of the best martinis. Your continued support of the Red Clover Inn is appreciated and we welcome your return visit! Best wishes, Charlotte, Innkeeper
