Stayed here 15 years ago under new owner Mayur was extremely accomodating. It's always great when your meal costs more than your room.

We booked a room for one night, on the way out of Killington, after a last ski day. Room was as described, although a bit more worn and in need of updating than we first thought. Nice to be able to get a non-smoking room, with two queen beds. Bathroom was really small, not enough towels for the number of people in room.
Staff was pleasant, from booking to arrival to departure.
Convenient.

This is the kind of place you go to get a basic room without great expectations except that the room is clean, facilities work fairly well and the beds are comfortable. This place fits the bill for a place to lay down your head at a reasonable price. The pictures on their website are accurate overall as to the type of accomodations you will be receiving. If focus in more closely on the rooms you will see that walls and ceilings have been patched, carpets stretched, noisy plumbing, etc. I would describe it sort of like a clean but not as well maintained old Holiday Inn. As others have said, the breakfast was very limited but we enjoyed the waffles very much! Would I stay here again? .....I would probably look into other options and compare prices...but not a bad choice and I don't regret it. People who run it are very nice.

Dirty, disgusting bathroom that smelled like stagnant water

Unconfortable dirty bed

Dirty carpeting

No heat regulation = headaches/sore throats

Dirty lounge area, fireplace never lit, gross couches

Thin walls

Suprised this place ever gets any ratings over "terrible", I just don't understand.

We had a great stay at the Motor Inn. Friendly and cozy environment. Owners always willing to go out of their way to help. Breakfast was great too. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. We've been coming here for many years. We consider it home away from home. Makes skiing at Killington affordable.

Once again I stayed at the KP for my annual ski trip. Again I was met with great service, great accomodations and treated like family. This is a smaller older family run inn and the owners are very service and customer oriented. They will bend over backwards to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Although an older property, the accomodations are clean, comfortable and well serviced. Another plus is that most of the rooms are larger than your average motor inn. The beds are in great shape and comfortable. The bathrooms are decent size and depending on the room, will contain a bath/shower combo or a larger walk-in shower big enough for two. For the skiers, there is an area in each room where you can hang your skis at the end of the day. Each room also contains a small refridgerator and the TV's have inputs you can use if you have a portable DVD player. The property is also served by in-room WiFi.

The main building area contains a fireplace, overstuffed couches and a game/family room also containing a fireplace with books, games, a large screen TV as well as a foosball & pool table.

As far as location goes, you are halfway between Killington and Rutland and thus, can take advantage of the best of both locales. Killington is about 7 miles away, but if you don't feel like driving that far, Pico Mountain is a mere 2 miles away .

There is a continental breakfast available daily that includes cold cereals, bagels and condiments, juices and fresh-made waffles. Coffee and hot water for tea are available 24 hrs.

Oh, I forgot to mention that there is an outdoor hot tub available as well. If you don't feel like using the outdoor tub, ask about room #14 which for a few dollars more, is a two room suite containing a private hot tub big enough for two adults.

Overall, this is the best value for lodging considering the location, accomodations, service and anemities. A testament to this is that the KP has a large number of "regulars" who return year after year.

Clean, comfortable and affordable. Definitely the best bang for the buck at Killington.

Met my boyfriend and his buddy here who were through hiking on the long trail and we only needed a place to crash for the night. The rooms were spacious and clean. Not new and fancy by any means but the place had a lot of character. The best part about this hotel was the service. The management offered to do the through hikers laundry which I am sure was not a pleasant task. And on top of that at no additional fee! They guys dropped their stuff off before we headed to dinner and the next morning they had fresh clothes by breakfast! And the included continental breakfast was not bad either. Management was always walking around asking if we needed anything, was our coffee hot enough, etc. Anything we asked for they went out of their way to accommodate. If I ever need a hotel in this area again I will definitely stay here!
