Our best experience of Inns of New England was our stay here. We stayed for a weekend - initially we were going to stop for one night so we could push on towards NYC, but are so very glad we stayed 2.

The hosts ( Frank/ Julie and Kevin) are wonderful people - hospitable, friendly, helpful, unobtrusive and so willing to accomodate the needs of their guests. Breakfasts are fabulous and if they offer something that you're not keen on, the list of alternative options they offer instead is inspiring! (Having listened to other guests requests :-) ) Having the pool for use of all hours of day and night was an unexpected bonus and very welcome in the summer.

Our room was superb - we felt we had 5* service and room in a much more personal setting, with wonderful quiet and views of Mt Equinox. Manchester at it's very best!

Just a word of caution - for the brave, walking to the summit of Mt Equinox is a day trip and very rewarding, but there is an easier way to get there - there's a carpark at the top!!

Room Tip: Choose a top floor room with view of Mt Equinox - views and balcony are so worth it

The Inn is run by a couple Frank and Julie along with her daughter. Very nice people and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast by Frank is excellent and service is quick. The Inn is located conveniently near down town but not too close so you don't get the shopping traffic. Highly recommended.

I happily discovered the Inn at Manchester three years ago when traveling on business. It's now my Vermont "home away from home". The Inn is warm, comfortable and elegant ,and breakfast scrumptious. Innkeepers Frank and Julie are amazing, as are all the staff. The Inn's resident dog, Chai, is a delight. You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend. Can't wait for my next visit!

Room Tip: Every room is wonderful, each with its own charm.

We had 2 nights here and really wish we could have stayed longer. The inn is a clean, comfy welcoming place, in a stunning location, - very relaxed atmosphere without any detriment to the service and hospitality provided by Frank and Julie. Lovely breakfasts courtesy of Frank who also told us some great places to go for a day out including where to have lunch. We followed his advice to the letter, and had one of our best days of the holiday. We stayed in the Primrose Room, which was lovely with great views and a sitting room area, again clean, comfortable and well decorated. Our only disappointment was the bathroom, or should I say the bath 'space'. It was sandwiched between the bedroom and the sitting area, and was tiny. That said, we would certainly stay here again but would check out the bathroom first.

Frank was obviously born to run a hotel like this - he has that great gift making an immediate connection with guests, and of warmth without (for a po-faced English couple at least) familiarity.

The Inn was sparklingly clean, very well equipped with books and guides (and a delightful dog called, I think Chai - you really wanted to know that, didn't you?). Frank and Julie are delighful and very well prepared hosts, who clearly know everything worth knowing about Manchester and the area around, and I simply cannot imagine that you could find a better place to stay. Very highly recommended!
