Reviewed February 2, 2014

We needed a place to stay for the weekend.we thought of skiing and had our dogs with us.
we arrived late and called and they left a key out for us.
they have pet rooms, the room was clean and when we talked with the staff about things to do other than skiing, we were directed over to the open spaces in the golf course to run the dogs. very pretty and lead to a large park where the kids were sledding.

I have read some of the review and I don't think some people understand what Vermont is. yes there are quaint B&B places with full breakfast. this was a nice continental breakfast, some pastry from a local shop, ready to eat cereal bowls, not large container where you don't who stuck what into them when the innkeeper wasn't looking, and a selection of yogurt and fruit.
At one point my wife was skiing and I went for a walk. when the mountain called to find me because she had been hurt they went out of their way to look for me. one of the staff even went traipsing all over the golf course to find me.

My husband, and I escaped for a quick weekend to go snowboarding. We were very pleased to find such a wonderful place to stay! Great atmosphere, very clean and comfortable room, super friendly staff, great location (close to town and Bromley Mountain), and pet friendly! We will definitely be returning for a longer visit.

We loved our quick one night stay. Not being able to bring our dog can be a deal breaker, but the Inn is extremely pet friendly. Our dog was welcome in the main room and made fast friends with the owner's dogs.
The entire staff was great to us. When we checked in, the man at the front desk was friendly and very knowledgeable about the local restaurants. The owner, Jan was very personable and greeted me by name.
Our room was much more spacious than we imagined, with two sitting areas, a King sized bed and a huge bathroom.
My girlfriend and I definitely plan on coming back here. Next time I think I would spring for one of the rooms with a fireplace.

My fiancé and I spent one night (and one long day in bed the next day!) at the Inn at Willow Pond. We have stayed once before and had excellent experiences both times.
They are super accommodating, bringing dry wood for the giant in-room fireplaces in a downpour and sending us home with delicious loaves of banana bread and lemon poppyseed bread. The humongous 4-poster beds are just the right firmness, with nice cozy sheets and duvets.
A fresh and delicious continental breakfast is served every morning at the lodge. They told us they are opening the on-premises restaurant shortly as well. We hope the next time we come we can check it out!

Went for my first visit to Vermont and The Inn at Willow Pond to welcome the New Year in. Got stranded for five extra days past schedule departure date due to snow. This could have been a most frustrating and miserable experience, but the INN and its staff made sure that everything was done to make our stay wonderful. Large, gracious rooms with fireplaces kept us warm, hot coffee, bagels, coffee cake and fresh fruit greeted us every morning as we made our way to the main Lodge to breakfast in front of the large fireplace...Resident Inn Keeper, Pamela Gutlon, even cooked a special breakfast on our last day of bacon, eggs, toast, delicious jam and French Press coffee and served it to us. What a treat! Owner Innkeeper, Steve, was kind enough to let us use his car to get around town during our stay and kept the fire at the Lodge going throughout each day. Very hospitable and friendly team helped us enjoy much of ur time. A very comfortable place to visit with friends and/or family with a beautiful view. I will return and would love to be there in the fall or spring to experience this place from different perspective. Thank you, Inn at Willow Pond. I'm recommending you to all of my friends!

Having stayed in approximately a zillion hotels (right, who hasn't?) worldwide, I can be a harsh critic of lodgings. Not here. On a record-breaking-cold weekend my wife and I found this place warm, cozy and welcoming. The room we had was a suite (I think most if not all of the rooms are suites) comprising a bedroom, roomy bath, and sitting room complete with a rocker, comfortable sofa & chair - and a truly wonderful gas fireplace added to the cozy ambiance.
The staff was helpful and friendly. Each room in the suite was quite spacious. The reception building - a converted dairy barn - exuded a welcoming feel, with a fire in a huge fieldstone fireplace, and tasteful & comfortable antiquey furnishing. A nice continental breakfast is provided, too. Happy to mention also, the pricing was very reasonable
Next time our travels take us to this part of Vermont, we will stay here again, and we would recommend it, definitely.
Excellent value. Lovely setting.

Room Tip: The staff seems like they would be very amenable to meeting whatever requirement you might have for...

Have been staying the the Inn at Willow Pond for a few times each year for several years. The location, the ownership and staff, and the accomodations are without doubt one of the best in Vermont. They continually strive to insure your visit is everything you woudld expect and then some. Looking forward to when they re-open their restaurant as it was always excpetional as well when in operation. Would not consider staying elsewhere when in Vermont.
