I just got back from Vermont and we stayed at the Manchester View. This was my second time staying there. Both times, we had a room with a fireplace which is so romantic on a cold Vermont winter night! The room was very clean, spacious and quiet. The views from the back deck were of the beautiful mountains. I would definately stay here again. It was very close to the outlets and restaurants in Manchester.

We appreciate your return visit to The Manchester View. Thank you for choosing us again! Yes, the rooms with fireplaces are cozy, especially during our cold northeastern winter. Our location is excellent for local and outlet shopping, as well as fine dining in our many area restaurants. We hope to see you again soon!

Stayed here in August by default. Stopped down the road and they told us to try this and one other. We stopped at the other place first because the girl said it was less expensive. However we came over here and ended up taking a room and had a very enjoyable night. Great mountain views. Would stay here again in a heart beat. Don't travel to Manchester on the weekends during August unless you have a reservation. The staff was very nice and the room was clean.

Thanks for choosing The Manchester View during your August visit to The Green Mountains. The month of July and the beginning of August tend to be busy, but with 36 rooms, we can accommodate last-minute guests. Thanks for praising our staff; they work hard to give our guests the best experience possible. We hope you can visit us again soon!

We have been going to Manchester View for many years and it's always been an enjoyable stay. The view of the mountains is beautiful at any time of year. We love the wood-burning fireplace! It makes for such a cozy evening on a cold, winter's night. Having the refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker in the room is a nice plus. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very clean and very nicely appointed. Can't wait to go back!

We're thrilled that The Manchester View is your go-to place to stay in The Green Mountains! Thank you for returning for your romantic getaway. The Deluxe Queen with Fireplace rooms are wonderful, especially in the colder months. All of our rooms have refrigerators and Keurig coffee makers. We do take pride in our friendly office team and excellent housekeeping staff. We look forward to your next visit!

We stayed in the standard room. It was very clean and neat. We had a great view of the mountains. We spent most of the time hiking and exploring the area but it was nice coming back to this cozy room. Only negative was that the bed was a bit hard for my taste but that is just me. We would definitely stay here again.

It’s a pleasure to hear of your great stay at The Manchester View! Our rooms are cozy and have great views. The mattresses are new, so that might explain why it was a bit hard, but we’re glad it didn’t deter from your enjoyment. Please come again!

We love to visit the Manchester View and stay in their two bed deluxe rooms with working wood fireplace. They have redone these rooms and they have a lovely cottage feel to them. We are skiers and after a day of skiing at Stratton Mountain we stay at the Manchester View. We usually eat casually at Mulligan's Restaurant and Pub in Manchester Village and then go to the Equinox Inn Falconner Bar (also in the village) to listen to lively music and have a nightcap. But, the final enjoyment is getting back to the Manchester View and lighting up the fire. It's a lovely end to an active day. The room has a refrigerator as well and a keurig coffee maker so you can easily keep snacks, wine or whatever. While we love to do this, there are also specialty suites with unique decors, and some rooms also have gas fireplaces. All in all, a delightful place to come back throughout the winter, or for a fall foliage stay......

Thank you so much for the glowing review! As you mentioned, the Queen Deluxe Rooms with Fireplace were redecorated. Each one is a cozy home away from home. It’s wonderful to come back to The Manchester View’s accommodations after a day out in any season. Winter is a great time to come and stay in any one of our rooms with either a wood-burning or gas fireplace. Returning from a fun day of skiing, skating, hiking, dining and shopping, to sit by the warmth of the fire is so relaxing and rejuvenating. Many rooms have one- or two-person spa tubs, as well. Of course, we have Queen Standard and Queen Deluxe rooms (without a fireplace and spa tub) available, as well. We look forward to your next visit; come back soon!

Was there for peak leaf season. $300 a night was way overpriced for the room. Cheap furniture, $3 charge for continental breakfast, not enough soap or towels, but fireplace was nice. View is blocked by trees. I expected much more for the price....

Room Tip: Look for other lower priced motels in the area. There are some very nice ones. Or stay at an Inn for...

Thank you for your input from your recent stay. Our views are superb – trees during leaf-peeping season are a part of the Vermont experience in autumn. The rates for our rooms are in-step with other area hotels. The rate of $300 would have been for one of our specialty rooms or suites during peak season. The Green Mountain Room is a gorgeous specialty room with a king bed, wood-burning fireplace and 2-person spa tub. The Norman Rockwell Room is an amazing suite with a king bed, gas fireplace and 2-person spa tub. The Grand Suite is grand with a king bedroom, living room with gas fireplace, TV in each rooms, 2-person spa tub, and one and ½ baths. All three offer our guests the best luxury experience.

Yes, we do charge $3 for the breakfast that includes blueberry muffins, oatmeal, bagels with cream cheese, Green Mountain coffee, tea and juice. There are several restaurants in town serving breakfast, and we suggest those when a guest wants more than the continental breakfast. On the other hand, many of our guests enjoy our breakfast and appreciate the very fair price.

Lastly, although we make sure to place enough amenities in each room, if a guest asks for more, we are happy to oblige.

We very much enjoyed our recent visit to Manchester View. Arriving just after dark on the heels of a rather stressful drive, we were welcomed very pleasantly by 2 staff who encouraged us to take extra K-cups for our Keurig coffee machine (which we did!). It was really nice to have decent in-room coffee for a change.

Our room was the Robert Frost which has a nice deck, gas fireplace, cathedral ceiling, and soaking tub in the large bathroom. Several of his poems are framed and hung throughout the room. The bathroom was nicely appointed with a separate shower and refrigerator tucked in behind the door.

The bed was a queen - comfortable and cozy. It was great to lay in bed and turn on the fireplace with the remote control! Although there was a tv, we barely glanced at it.

My only real reasons for knocking one star off were fairly minor but added up for me - you decide if they matter. If not? then this property would rate 5-stars easily!

Our concerns: the 2 easy chairs in the room were very rickety - one was actually leaning to the side. We brought in one of the deck chairs to sit in. We did tell the staff upon leaving about the problem and they were appreciative.

Another issue were the curtains - due to rust or some other malfunction, they were difficult to operate.

One last concern were the pillows - there were only one kind, the dense foam type which is unfortunately the type we hate. One suggestion would be to have a couple of softer feather pillows in the closet for an option.

But like I said, ultimately, these are minor issues and did not affect our enjoyment of the Manchester View. The grounds (and our room) were lovely and the staff were warm and welcoming. Thank you for our wonderful stay!

Room Tip: I would definitely recommend choosing a room with a fireplace. Especially in the cooler months, it l...

We’re so happy to hear you had a lovely stay! It is our pleasure to greet our guests with warmth and welcome them to their home while in Manchester.

So glad you enjoyed The Robert Frost Room. The gas fireplace, which a number of our rooms have, is fantastic, especially with the remote control! For those who like wood-burning fireplaces, we have those, as well.

Although we are disappointed to get a four rating, we understand and appreciate your constructive criticisms. We remedied the chair and curtain situations immediately. Since we’ve had a number of guests allergic to feathers, we opted for the foam pillows. Thanks for letting us know how you feel! We’re certainly glad to know these issues didn’t affect your enjoyment. We hope you'll return for a future stay with us!
