We spent one night at this "resort' on Thanksgiving Day Weekend. The Palmer House building in the front of the complex is very handsome and inviting. However the string of motel room that we stayed in was dated and the run down. The walls were thin and joint buckles abound.
I made the mistake of booking the room through Global Hotel Card powered by Orbitz. I discovered that they put a $40 booking upcharge fee on the hotel rooms rate of $131 per night. Keep in mind that the discounted rate of $181 was a "discounted" rate from the "regular" rate of over $300! ( they saw me coming...)
Not having stayed there before, I thought I was getting a pretty nice room. But you don't always get what you pay for.
The king size bed was too firm and the pillows were too small. Although the room was huge, the flat screen TV was probably 32".
The continental breakfast consisted of greek yogurt, toast, cereal, juice and coffee.
This motel stay was a disappointment and an unfortunate experience.
