“Comfortable accomodations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

We stayed at the Jackson Gore Inn for 4 days, 3 nights. The inn room we had was small but so clean and comfortable. The Inn staff is top notch. The location is perfect. A ski lift was right outside and we had plenty of choices for things to do and places to eat. This Inn is very family friendly, therefore there are lots of children and young families around who take advantage of the beautiful lounge and the fun fact that you can order s'mores from the lounge and have them by the fire. We did not have our grown children with us but if we did they also have family suites available to accomodate all of us. Overall we would recommend this Inn and will very likely be back! :)

Room Tip: You can ask for trailside and they try to accomodate.

This is our second trip to the JGI and I we continue to be impressed. The rooms are clean. The staff accommodating. Amenities plentiful. The restaurant has fantastic food. And of course you have access to 110+ trails. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Ask for slope side for a beautiful view of the mountains.

We stayed here in a studio from December 20-22. Everything about it was top notch. Our room was spacious and clean with a full kitchen of amenities. The indoor outdoor pool and hot tub was fun and warm and relaxing and then there were more pools and hot tubs at an adjacent building. With a kiddie pool with slides and fountains which was great for my 3 and 6 year old. The lobby is so relaxing and warm with the big fireplace and comfortable couches. The have a fire pit and you can make smores. the restaurant is very nice, but pricey and slow if you are in a rush for lunch and wanting to go out and hit the slopes. Kids skied free before the holiday week and there was not a lot of snow, but there was still plenty to do. The Italian restaurant was delicious, but again resort pricey. The staff was super friendly from the reservation agent, to the bell hop to the towel attendant. When staffed passed you in the lobby or hall they stopped to talk to you. You could store your ski stuff in the closet in the restaurant too. The indoor pool did not open until 1 and they did not offer afternoon ski group children's lessons, but those are the kind of things that you risk going early season. All in all it was a fantastic stay and we will definitely return..

Room Tip: The studio was perfect for a family of 4 with young children. We faced the slopes which was a super...

Stayed at the JG for 2 nights in September in a room overlooking the pistes. Beautiful scenery, lovely hotel reception area, friendly staff.
This must be a very busy place in the winter, however not many people there during our stay in September.

We stayed here for two nights. Our room was large and had a beautiful view of the ski runs. We were here in the fall. The lobby/lounge is very relaxing and has a huge open fire place. It was lovely to sit around and chat with people from all parts of the world. They have a convenience shop to get anything you might need. The breakfast was not very good they need to improve on this. The Manager was very nice and helpful and so were the reception staff. This is a very peaceful relaxing place to stay with breathtaking views. Alhough it must get very cold in winter. Fall time was perfect for us.

Self and spouse stayed here two nights while on a Trafalgar coach tour. This really is a timeshare resort, or perhaps most of it is, though management has found a way to provide short stays. Apart from our coach group of 50 there seemed to be no-one else around. We had the place to ourselves - Yea.
We had a studio which included a fireplace and complete kitchen with all necessary kitchenware. Very, very comfortable and appeared to be unused though we doubt this.
By the provided breakfasts we decided the resort did not normally do this or, more likely, had undertaken cautious purchasing so would have little surplus. However, the stay was very comfortable, the grounds nicely maintained. The log fire out front is a great idea as people can sit around and natter in the snow in season. Who would have thought of a bonfire in the center of what is, effectively, a traffic roundabout. Great stuff - must surely be terrific in winter snow.

Jackson Gore Inn was a great place to stay in Ludlow, VT. They have all sort of all season activities for the whole family. It is a place to enjoy yourself and your family. At the base of a ski mountain, you have a true ski in and ski out experience. And they have spa services. In the spring, summer and fall, there are options other than skiing that will keep the whole family busy!
