Arrived at 6:30. Left at 8:00. Appetizers never arrived. Two dinners out of seven arrived. Not edible. Waitress was new. NOT her fault at all. Manager was a jerk. Charged us for drinks and then some. Said he was going to charge the waitress if we did not pay.....really??? The kitchen and management failed....not the waitress. Been in the restaurant business for over 30 years.....if the kitchen goes down management needs to step up...not keep seating patrons and then charging them for food and drinks. Very unprofessional and disappointing.!

My husband & I have visited this establishment twice in 2 months. We sat at the bar both times because it was quite busy & we didn't want to wait for a table, but we enjoy eating casually at the bar. We ordered from the full menu: once we had appetizers (scallops & risotto, soup, salad) and the second time an entree (steak special, pork). Our first experience was quite fun (other than the hostess with the less-than-friendly attitude, but being from NY, am quite used to the New England "friendliness") - the bartender was great (Bill) and took good care of us, and the food was really good. The second time, my husband's entree was served colder than it should have been, and he was a bit disappointed. They took it back & heated it again, but needless to say, that lessens the experience (I was finished with my meal & he was still eating). Bill was apologetic & took a drink off the bill to compensate. Would probably visit again.

We had a very good meal here the last weekend of January, 2013. The price seemed fair, and the food was quite good. It was an easy walk from the Governor's Inn, where we stayed, so it worked for us.

We came back to the Pot Belly after about 10 years and it is still reasonable and good. I'm actually giving it the same rating as Jackson Gore's Coleman Brook Tavern, because you don't come here for the same kind of food and, for what you come for, it's very good. It's the casual place with good drinks you go to after a long day of skiing, where you can take your family and get a decent meal for a decent price. We came in late and our server apologized because an item was no longer available, even offering to provide us a soup on the house to compensate. I had a very tasty burger and delicious hot cocoa with Schnapps. The kids were happy with hot dogs, and my husband enjoyed his chili. The atmosphere is nice and homey. Was happy to find that, a decade later, Pot Belly remains a dependable dinner spot.

We've been dining out in Ludlow for years, and absolutely love the Pot Belly, especially for lunch. Food is fresh, portions are large, prices are usually reasonable. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Never had a bad experience there. Try the Jerk chicken sandwich or the Reuben... or for dinner, the scallops are always amazing. Plus, they have a VT-raised local beef burger, which is a nice option for those who want to support the local food movement.
