“Family Fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013

We vacation at Okemo every winter and love the Jackson Gore area. There's so much to do with the family - ice skating, tubing, outside roller coaster, and indoor pool at the Spring House. We absolutely love taking some time out from the cold and snow to enjoy the indoor pool. The charge is a bit high, but it's an all day pass, so if you go back it's really worth it. They have a nice large 3-5ft pool with a slide and a great kiddie 1.5ft pool with a little frog slide. My 3 year old couldn't get enough of the frog slide and had so much fun in the sprinklers. I loved being inside the glass room enjoying the view of the mountain from the pool. All in all, the Jackson Gore area provides a lot for everyone!

“Best part at Okemo, unless 8am and 10 degrees”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

I agree that Jackson Gore has a nice set of trails (about 4) and a lift with shorter lines than over by the main Okemo resort. But being around the side of the mountain, groomed trails at 8am and 10 degrees are crusty ice ridges that are like mini jack-hammers on your legs. So if it is that cold and early, go up the Jackson Gore lift but head straight over to Okemo. The sun hits the runs of over there much sooner - with better a.m. skiing conditions when temps are in the teens.

“The Posh Side of Okemo”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

If you want to avoid the madness of the base lodge of Okemo then leave from Jackson Gore. You don't have to walk up all those stairs and hills to get to the lift. The Jackson Gore lift is also faster than the others. The trail runs are the best on Okemo. They even have a bonfire pit as you lounge around sipping your martini!

“Over the hill”

Jackson gore lodge is warn out and needs total refurbishment - service horrible and rooms look like bomb shelters - bad enough the prices they charge are outrangeous - could stay at four seasons in manhattan for that money . May be the worst value for your hard earned dollar . Also how about replace a chair lift some 15 years old a disgrace for an $88 dollar lift ticket

“Great skiing without the crowds”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

My family recently skiied for 4 days at Okemo, based out of the Jackson Gore lodge. The snow was excellent, the runs were varied, and the lines were short.
