I usually ski out in Park City, Utah, so skiing on the east coast is a new experience for me! I've been to Sunapee (which is a hill compared to the other resorts I've visited) and Okemo. Absolutely loved Okemo...pretty big mountain, and we went on the perfect weekend. The snow was great and all of the runs were open. Had a fantastic time.

Just returned from a 3-day ski trip and wanted to share my experiences. First off.....the skiing was fantastic. We went from spring and back to winter in two days. There is a great variety of runs, and in three days of skiing, we still didn't get to do it all. There were no lift lines to speak of and the runs were never busy or crowded. Getting around the mountain is very easy and simple to navigate. Food pricing was quite high ($6.50 for a cup of soup!!!!) and they don't provide microwaves for guests to warm up their own lunches (Stratton does). Apres ski is pretty lame...the main base bar is really just a restaurant.

We come back to Okemo year after year for the best groomed trails in the Northeast!!! This year the snow has been terrific and Okemo is well known for their impeccable grooming - no other ski resort in Vermont is better!

We generally ski mid-week but we skied on Sunday - Tuesday this past week and conditions were terrific, with packed powder conditions.

Early March skiing at Okemo has been outstanding for the past 4 years. Conditions are the results of the great grooming done. Although some lifts do not operate during the week, there are rarely lift lines and the runs feel very empty. Lift operators are polite as is the entire staff. The first aid staff is first class (small crash last year) and the lodges are comfortable and well places.
