We stayed at the Birch Ridge Inn for a 5 day ski trip to Killington in March. The location is amazing and is only minutes from the slopes. Bill and Mary live on site which makes all the difference at this B&B. They greet you when you arrive and make you feel welcome at all times. The bar is a great place to relax in the evening with a nice fireplace. Both Bill and Mary are always willing to chat about the local area and Mary helped us out tremendously with advice about where to rent skis and the best trails to ski based on our ability. Breakfast was great with fresh baked muffins/breads, quiches, waffles, etc. and a good variety throughout the week. We stayed in a queen size room and we were impressed that the room was immaculately clean and was vacuumed each day while we were out. The B&B is also quiet which we appreciated-no noise from other rooms. There were no negatives and we would definitely stay again if we return to Killington. You won't be disappointed if you choose the Birch Ridge Inn.

You can tell the proprietors take a great deal of pride in their work at the Birch Ridge Inn. The rooms and all common areas are very well maintained and very clean. The wood burning fireplace is a great place to sit and relax. Best thing about the inn is the proximity to the slopes, set just off the Killington access road but still quite tranquil and quiet.

Overall, a bit pricey during the holidays but a decent place to stay.

Our stay at the Birch Ridge Inn was a pleasure from arrival to departure... the only downside was having to leave at the end of the week! The Inn is just off the main Killington Road in a really quiet location and everthing about it makes you feel welcome. Mary and Bill, the Innkeepers, clearly invest a huge amount of time creating a very relaxed and homely atmosphere, while maintaining an extremely professional level of attention to detail on a par with any 4* hotel. The other staff at the Inn, in the restaurant and at the bar are equally friendly and efficient. The food is terrific, from Mary's delicious home cooked breads, muffins and entrees for breakfast, to the more sophisticated evening dinner menus created by their chef. The Birch Ridge Inn is really well located, just a few minutes drive from the Snowshed and Ramshead ski lodges (or you can use the local ski bus) and within easy walking distance of a number of other bars and restaurants. We would recommend this Inn to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly base in Killington... it's a long way from home for us but we certainly hope to return ourselves some time!

I found this inn on Trip Advisor, and after staying here for three nights, would echo all the positive recommendations from the other reviewers. The location is first rate, on the Killington access road, but set back from the street offering a tranquil setting. The room we stayed in was lovely - king sized bed, fireplace, and impeccably maintained. I'm extremely picky when it comes to hotel rooms and baths, and this passed my stringent tests. Included in the room rate, which is quite reasonable given the proximity to Killington Mountain, is a lovely homemade breakfast each morning. We also dined at the Inn one night, and had a first rate gourmet dinner, which is sorely lacking in the area. There is a separate bar/lounge with a working fireplace, which attracted a decent crowd from outside the inn the night we were there. The owners are hands on, always accessible, and like to mingle with their guests. Overall, a most enjoyable experience.

A lovely inn about a mile from the Killington base stations (Snowshead/K1/Ramshead). Beautifully presented rooms which were kept clean and tidy. The owners (Bill and Mary) were exceptionally welcoming, full of local information as well as being more than happy to sit and chat at the bar. The breakfast was a treat, different home-made muffins and breads everyday in addition to a hot entree. We had an evening meal in their restaurant which was by far the best that we experienced in Killington.

If we go back to Killington we wouldn't bother looking elsewhere!

We stopped at the Birch Ridge inn for a fantastic week early Feb this year. The hosts Mary and Bill did everything to make our stay special and we felt very much at home there. In fact we didn't want to leave! The inn is perfectly postioned within walking distance of several bars and restaurants and only a couple of minutes drive to the slopes. What more could you want??
Cannot criticise anything- food lovely, room immaculate and a good size, staff friendly and the bar is a great place to come back to in the evening to have a few drinks and a chat about the days skiing.
Would recommend anyone to stay here.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Birch Ridge Inn last week. Clean, spacious room with a lovely outlook at the covered 'bridge'. Bill and Mary, the hosts, are delightful, extremely hospitable and nothing is too much trouble. Easy to find and very central in Killington, a pleasant stroll to many eateries - particularly if you've had one of Bills' measures at the bar before going out - you won't be driving anywhere! However, dinner in the restaurant was the best meal we had, so staying in is a good option. Had a great ski holiday, well-groomed piste, very few people, will return.
