I am a bit hesitant to publish this review because this small inn will be hard to get into when others discover its charms. Only a mile or so from the lifts, and right on the access road, Birch Ridge is in the perfect location for skiers. Small-- only about 10 rooms, this inn is cozy and great value. The rooms are extremely clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with queen/king size beds, chairs or loveseats for reading, TV, private baths/showers etc. The breakfast is homemade quiches, waffles, muffins and fresh fruit--- all made by Mary (the inn-keeper). Dinner is also available and not to be missed. Our party had seafood linguine, filet of beef, chowder, spinach salads and chocolate molten lava cakes and everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. There is also a bar with a fireplace for before and after drinks. Bill and Mary--- the owners are friendly, kind and extremely willing to please. Don't miss this inn!

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely but if you awaken easily, ask for a room in the rear since there are a few...

Stayed at Birch Ridge the weekend of 2/9 and had a great time. The owners Bill and Mary were available and accommodating for all our needs and questions and made us feel right at home. We had some drinks and dinner at their bar on Friday and the food was delicious. We had breakfast there as well both days and its a perfect way to start a day before hitting the mountain (which is about 2 minutes up the road).

We stayed at the Birch Ridge on January 6, 2013 - January 9, 2013. The innkeeper Bill was so helpful and accomodating. His partner Mary was out of town and Bill took up the slack very nicely. The inn is beautiful and the food was delicious. Two of us had the special filet mignon and one had the special pasta and one had the veal dish on the menu. Also, the chef knew we liked the rolls and he made us as many as we wanted. They were outstanding!! The rooms were spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds!! I will be returning to the Birch Ridge!!

My wife and I have spent 4 days last December. Beautiful big room with nice bed and great jacuzzi. The owners are very sweet and will cook you a great breakfast that will certainly help you with a good start for a day out in Killington. We had one of our luggage lost by the airline and the owner gave all the support until we finally received it the next day. We loved it and can't wait to go back!

Birch Ridge Inn, Killington . Stayed over New Year's Eve 2012-13. Rooms were clean, nicely furnished. But you WILL hear your neighbors, especially upstairs early in the a.m. The hosts were genial and eager to please everyone. A couple of issues that we had--it was snowing when we arrived in our Saab. We had a good deal of trouble getting up the street to their entrance...kept sliding back, We paid for a nice room with a fireplace. I think there are only two with fire places, The rooms are fairly small, and got hot very quickly. One evening when it was 18 degrees outside I looked at the room thermostat and it was 81 degrees. So we had to turn it off. The breakfasts were ok..just one choice and certainly not the big, delicious country breakfast we have become used to at B&B's. I wish Trip Advisor had a category between "average" and "very good" because this place was better than average, but not Very Good. There is not much to do in Killington if you dont ski...we drove a half hour to Woodstock ..great town with lots to do and loads of shops and restaurants .

Room Tip: See review..I'd stay on 2nd floor next time

The Birch Ridge Inn is a great Inn and the hosts Bill and Mary are as friendly and helpful as you would ever meet.

The room was comfortable with a lovely gas fire that got the room so warm so quickly we had to open the window.

If we return to Killington we will use this Inn again.

We stayed with at Birch Ridge Inn for a recent 4-night ski trip and it was everything we could have asked for. The room was comfortable and very clean, and the inn is just a 5-minute drive from the Snowshed, Ramshead, and K-1 base areas of Killington. It's also within easy walking distance to Sunup Bakery and Charity's Tavern (and probably a few other places, but those are the only ones we walked to).

The inn's great room has a small bar, couches, and a big fireplace, and it wonderful for having a few glasses of wine in the evening and for chatting with proprietors Bill and Mary, who are just the most genuine, warm, friendly people. They were always available for recommendations on where to go for dinner or drinks, other activities in the area, and which runs had been freshly groomed.

Breakfasts, all very good, were served up by Mary and included juice, coffee or tea, a delicious basket of warm bread and muffins, and whichever hot entree is on the menu for the day. (We got a frittata, scrambled egg in a puff pastry, and two rounds of pancakes.) We also ate dinner in the inn's restaurant one night and the service and the food were both top-notch.

On the whole, Birch Ridge was a lovely place to stay -- I'd recommend it to a friend and we hope to make it back at some point!
