what a pleasent suprise, after reading the reviews i was sceptical but upon arrival i was greeted by the most friendliest staff at the front desk. Rooms were beautiful and beds were comfortable and reasonably priced. The hotel is way above the standard of a economy brand. Most certainly comprable to comfort inn or other simmilar brands in comfort and coutsey.

To be honest I didn't expect much after seeing the reviews here on TripAdvisor, but I was very pleasantly surprised! I don't know what the deal is with some of these reviewers! I have surmised that perhaps some of them are super rich New Englanders who expect the Ritz Carlton everywhere they go. :)

Seriously, though, the rooms where very nice, roomy, clean, and comfy. The beds felt great after a long day of skiing. It even had a mini fridge, microwave, and one cup coffee maker. There wasn't a breakfast or hot tub/pool - but as one of the cheapest places on the access road, who cares? We payed roughly $110 a night for two queens during Presidents Day week. No one else on the road, name brand or not, even came close in my research. (I found the Killington website deal was the cheapest for this hotel.)

A few have commented on parking. Honestly we never had a problem and we were there during a busy week. There was always some place to park. See my photos, they speak for themselves. I would highly recommend this hotel. Its at the beginning of the access road and very close to the restaurants, shops, etc.

If you have any questions please feel free to message me!

After reading the reviews, I was prepared for the worst – but was very pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean, the staff were helpful, we had all the hot water we needed, and no drunk teenagers disturbed us during the night. On the negative side, the walls are thin and you could sometimes hear other guests. The parking situation is somewhat limited but not terrible. There is a shower stall but no bathtub – maybe a deal breaker for some. The location is at the edge of Killington and it takes 5 minutes to drive to the mountain, or the free shuttle could take you there. There is no hot tub on premises or anything to do at night, but Killington is a lively town with plenty of bars and restaurants. We paid $89/night using ski/stay package (killington.com) and feel very satisfied with this no-frills inn.

This RedRoof Inn is located on Killington's Access Road.
I am amazed this is a part of a "franchise". As this place is a total dive. We figured out why the rate is cheap - it's because they need to entice business! They keep a $79 vacancy sign up, which is very very cheap to stay on the access rd.
However, you get what you pay for:
The bldge used to be a dorm, the rooms have dorm furniture.
The rooms could be cleaned better, and SMELL of smoke and beer. The rooms are kept freezing cold. (people were leaving due to this problem). You cannot control the thermostat in your room, nor do they turn it ON. Numerous calls to the front desk - and nothing was done about it. The room was like 55 degrees!
Finally we got extra blankets - but NO HEAT ever came on.
Do not expect a warm shower either.
We would have left, but it was late, and were exhausted,
so we just stuck it out. But seriously, do not waste your money at this place.
Also, there is no parking, you'll park 1/4mi away and need to lug all your luggage down a hill, and then up 3 flights of stairs to get
to your room! Then at 3AM were woken up by a bunch of
partying college kids. Everywhere - drinking and yelling in the parking lot, hanging out along the railings, lost/drunk and banging on people's doors. We called the front desk and nothing was done about it. This place is for you if you're in college, and want no sleep, no heat/hot water. This is not a place you'd bring your family too!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing the Alpine Inn for your recent stay in our area.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experiences as a guest at our establishment. This is obviously not the way we want our valued guests treated and we do not take this lightly. Upon receipt of your review, the following steps were taken:

• The maintenance staff was instructed to look into the matter of heat control and to see to it that the showers were working properly. They were also instructed to see to it that the parking areas are properly maintained.

• The management staff received extra training in the matter of seeing to it that guests conduct themselves in such a manner as to respect the rights of other guests.

I hope that the next time you visit our area, you will once again choose to stay at the Alpine Inn. I think you will be greatly pleased.

Sincerely,
Hotel Manager.
