We went on a Saturday night, so the place was packed. The cover charge was a little ridiculous ($20), and drinks were pricey. But they did have 2 good bands (one downstairs, and one upstairs). The DJ in-between sets was good, but the dance floor gets pretty crowded. Overall we had a great time, and they have a free shuttle that will take you back to any of the resorts.

The only reason we stopped at the Pickle Barrel is because the cover was waived when we ate at Jax Bar. We were looking forward to live entertainment on a Thursday night, but were left with an acoustic guitarist/vocalist who wasn't bad, but pretty much put us to sleep. We waited for a reggae band to go on, which must have gone on after 11pm since we left because we didn't want to wait any longer. The place was overall dead. I don't know if it's the lack of advertising, bad reviews or just the economy. I would do your research before you visit. They have potential to have great entertainment here and could draw a lot of tourists if they wanted to.

We stopped by the Pickle Barn after having dinner next door at Yoshi Sushi. We were curious to see one of the only bars/clubs in the area, and we were waiting on the next bus to our hotel. The place was packed with a mix of both locals and skiers. The band was trying to be fun and they were generally enjoyable, though not noteworthy. There was a decent choice of draft beers. Everyone was pleasant. Not a terrible time, I’m just not sure that I’d pay a cover to go in.

I went to the Pickle Barrel for New Years Eve 2011 and it was one of the best evenings I've had lately! The club is easily accessible, the layout of the building really makes it feel like it's never overcrowded. The staff and waiters were friendly and fast, and overall the feel of the building lets you enjoy your evening with just a few friends or dancing with the crowd by the state. The DJ was absolutely fantastic and played some of the best music to bring in the New Year!
