“Great place for the best pint of Guinness around”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

Best tasting pint of Guinness in the USA! Cozy, comfortable, and great bartenders! Stop by before or after the slopes (or hiking) and enjoy a tasty pint that just tastes better than everywhere else. There's a reason they consistently sell the most Guinness in the state of VT! The beef stew and corn beef is great too.

“Great atmostphere”

We ate at the bar and had a nice meal. The onion soup was great! It had plenty of croutons, onions, tasty broth and baked on top of the crock.

“Best Guinness Pour This Side of Ireland”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

I am very fussy about my Guinness. Too many bars serve it too cold and with CO2 instead of the required nitrogen. A proper pour is done twice, and takes time. They even put a shamrock in the foam. And, remember that a 12 oz glass of Guinness is only 125 calories. It was excellent. We had their top 2 items: Shepherd's Pie and Guinness Stew. Both were delicious. We saved room for a decedent bread pudding with whiskey sauce (you needed to be 21 to have it LOL). They also have an extensive collection of Irish Whiskey. And, the band on Sunday afternoon (Extra Stout) was really great. I highly recommend this place, located at the Inn at Long Trail.

“2 days at McGrath's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

We stopped in for a meal on 12/30 and it was wonderful, my husband loves Shepherd's Pie and he thought it was delicious! I had the stew and yum! We liked it so much we went back on 12/31 at around 5 and were treated to Irish music, laughter and again, delicious food!!
