“Not so good.......”
Reviewed February 8, 2007

Hmmm, went there this evening.......

The drinks were great- nice martini bar and the tapas looked very good.

Bread w/roasted garlic. Nice, but the garlic could have been cooked more.

Salad- fine. The one wilth baby greens, candied walnuts, and gorg. cheese.

Dinners. Poor. I had the special of salmon, rosemary, and pureed cauliflower. Gaggy amount of rosemary- way too much oil- yuck-o! Spouse had seafood pasta- which was ok- but nothing great.

For $100 you can get a much better dinner in the Killington area........

I would go there again only for martinis and tapas.

“Fun place! Surprisingly good food! Highly Recommended!”
Reviewed January 28, 2007

There is also a restaurant section but I can't comment on it, so this only applies to the bar...

What a great bar!! The staff are very friendly and crowd is fun. Awesome tapas menu! Besides being able to order food from the restaurant, which is your typical fair at above-average prices, you can order tapas at the bar. These tapas are small portions of anything from pita bread to bbq ribs for $4-$9 each. These tapas are surprisingly good for bar food and you can order a bunch of them and share with you group which is more fun than sitting at the table.

The only reason I didn't rate them as Excellent is because they made mistakes with 2 of our orders. To compensate though, they gave us those orders for free, which is more that I could expect of them.

Highly Recommended!

“Great staff and food”
Reviewed January 6, 2007

I opted to sit in the restaurant portion of the Garlic, since I was in the mood for pasta, and the Garlic didn't disappoint. First of all, the staff was extremely friendly and responsive, and the service was incredibly fast. The food did not disappoint- it was not the greatest Italian cuisine, but certainly tasty and worth the price. The Italian bread with fresh roasted garlic was a nice touch as well. Of the choices available near the slopes, it certainly is worth a visit.

“best bar in Killington?”
Reviewed January 1, 2007

The crowd at the bar is interesting and friendly, the tapas is delicious, and the bartenders are real pros. It's the antithesis of the Pickle Barrel across the street; wild partying does have its place, but if you're feeling a little more sedate, check out the bar in Garlic and order an old-school cocktail.

“Mmmm... tapas”
Reviewed March 19, 2006

I stopped by Garlic for dinner, and was lucky enough to catch their 2-for-1 tapas happy hour. Wow... everything was excellent. It's not "traditional" tapas, more like creative little dishes invented by the chef. We ordered 8 dishes for two people, which turned out to be too much, but we enjoyed everything. I especially liked the beet & sweet potato chips (piping hot and crispy) and the scallops (with a rich, tangy sauce). The prices were in line with the rest of the Killington area, but with the happy hour we saved $19. The service is ridiculously friendly, too. Tapas is served in the bar, but since VT is smoke-free and there are some real tables in addition to bar seating, it's pretty comfortable.
