We've been going to the Summit Lodge President's Day weekend for over three years now (and visiting friends there for a lot longer), and it is nearly perfect for what we need.

he inn is a neat older building with lots of hallways, staircases, and common area nooks that make it feel cozy and a bit mysterious. There is a large room that is perfect for relaxing apres ski with a drink by a huge roaring fireplace, with numerous couches, tables and chairs, a game cabinet, and an old piano. The bar downstairs is comfortable and friendly. There is often live music, and they serve good food at dinner. There is also a billiards room, a library, and a banquet room with games and ping pong for the kids, when the room is not otherwise in use.

Your stay includes a tasty breakfast buffet with a reasonable number of hot and cold selections.

The indoor hot tub is huge, complete with drink service from the bar, and the small well-heated, outdoor pool is a big hit, especially with the kids who jumped in and out between laying on a snowbank.

The rooms and bathrooms are cozy -- smaller and quite rustic -- and you should not expect them to be fancy. Still they are comfortable and adequate, and the bedding is clean. We experienced a bit of a hot water shortage at peak shower time this year when the inn was at maximum capacity on the weekend, but the management made it up to us and they are working on resolving any issue going forward. The service overall is friendly and helpful.

The Summit used to have several dogs roaming the premises, including Saint Bernards, which I am sure some guests miss. As someone who is allergic to dogs, while I appreciated the ambiance they added, I am happier to have the Summit canine-free these days.

The common areas, availability of food and drink in a homey atmosphere, and proximity to Killington and Pico really make the Summit a great place. I recommend it to anyone who appreciates those aspects of the inn experience, and we plan to be back!

Went here during a ski weekend and absolutely fell in love. The décor is beautiful and rustic, staff friendly and accommodating.
They have the best Jacuzzi and outdoor heated pool that is perfect after a long day of skiing.

Room was clean, food & beverage is excellent. Staff as always make us feel like family.
This is our home away from home.
Owner Emmit, barkeep Jason, front desk Bill, Andrew, Sharon, and and all others.
A big "shoutout" to the 2 exchange students that worked in the outlets.
They were always smiling and eager to please the guests...thank you
Planning a return soon.

Old rustic lodge, needs updating but, it's clean and cozy, staff is super pleasant, breakfast is delicious and it's a great place to experience Killington. This is a good place for family, not far from the skiing and reasonably priced.

Stayed here for a few days last ski season prior to the change of ownership and loved it! Reasonably priced and comfortable rooms, a terrific breakfast with service to match. Loved the bar, great food, good conversation and good music.

I can only imagine the new owners made some small changes and that the place is better than ever, looking forward to checking it out again!
