Yes, it is old. Yes, furniture is not brand new….. and many other "issues" but… the unit was well maintained, carpet was clean, kitchen was clean, bathrooms were fine. Clean towels. Nice distribution: a king bed room first floor and a loft with a queen bedroom and 2 twins in another bedroom plus a sofa bed on first floor. 2 families with 2 teens each accommodated perfectly ( 8 total) with plenty of space. Super close to the slopes and the town. Go for it, it is fine. My only complain was a group of young adults making noise at 200 am. We call security and problem was taken care of. They slept like angels after that !!

We rented our unit through Killington Holiday Rentals, and they steered us to a nice clean unit; 4E.The unit had large screen TV (not HiDef), king bedroom and living room with a Murphy bed and fold out sofa. There were lots of clean towels, a well equipped kitchen and decent free WiFi. Given that these units are 30yrs old we were pleasantly surprised. I did hear that there were other units is very poor condition so choose wisely when you make your reservation.

The snow conditions were not great so the ski run to the condos was not open so we took a quick drive to the base of the mountain. The location is hard to beat and there was even a bit of a view out the back.

There is no pool or hot tub available, but we went over the the Pico sports center for a workout, swim and sauna.

There was an issue with the gas fireplace/ heating system which was attended to by the property manager.

We will return.

We booked for New Year's week 2014 and the location was fantastic! In the backyard of Ram's Head and a very convenient shuttle to all of Killington. The price was great and we loved the size. The furniture needs a Serious Upgrade. But that was all that was not great. We are planning on returning next year!

When reading this review, keep in mind that every unit in the Whiffletree is owned by a different person. These are condos! If you want a place with guaranteed nice furniture and perfect matching bedding and decor, then Whiffletree is probably not the spot for you! Nor is any ski condo in Killington. Stick with hotels if this is what you need!

But if you are looking for a clean place to stay, that is close to the mountain and has a kitchen and enough space this is a great value! You're staying in one of the cheaper places at Killington but it is one of the closest housing options to the slopes! We stayed in a 1br unit with 4 adults (2 in the bedroom and 2 on the pull-out in the livingroom). There was plenty of space for us to hang out! We had a great time at Whiffletree, and I have no complaints!

I think that everything depends on the unit you get, and some units are going to be nicer than others! We liked Whiffletree so much, that now that we are looking to buy a place in Killington, we are looking into some units in Whiffletree because of the value they afford for both owners and renters!

Room Tip: Try to look at pictures of the actual unit you're going to be staying in before you get there, o...

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at the Whiffletree. Yes, it's old, small, and the furniture is outdated, but we basically needed a place to sleep after a long day of skiing. It's proximity to the mountain & value is why I continue to stay here. Killington is very expensive in it's prime winter season. The shuttle bus & ski home trail are definite perks! If you are looking for lodging bells & whistles, don't stay here. We come to Killington for the mountains, not the lodging!

AVOID AVOID!! My family rented the B3 condo for the weekend because the location was close to the mountain...and were shocked when we wandered into the filthy, cramped condo. Not only were there giant spider webs hanging from the ceilings, but nearly all of the furniture was broken or extremely old and outdated, the bathroom tube was warped, the sink barely drained, there was dust and dirt everywhere...and CHIPS on the carpet from the previous tenant!

Whats worse.... when we called management to upgrade or try and get the hell out of this place, they would not let us out of the rental and didn't even send a cleaning crew. It seems like a lot of the places near killington are sort of on the slummy side...but this condo probably takes the cake.

Did I mention that we could hear the people above us all night?? Cannot say enough terrible things about this place.

AVOID AVOID at all costs my friends.

We stayed in Unit E7 with our family of two adults and three adult children.

There were lots of good features about this unit but several remedial drawbacks that detracted from our experience.

The good features included reasonable proximity to the ski field and good parking, but the car was pretty essential for most things. The ski shuttle was not convenient enough during the week, and there was insufficient snow to ski home.

The three bedrooms were good sizes, but there were no single beds, and our adult kids did not want to share a bed, so one slept on a sofa all week (his choice). Although the beds were comfortable enough, the quality of the pillows and bedding was lacking, and there were no extras.

The kitchen was well-equipped with good-quality appliances and there were adequate cooking utensils, but insufficient glassware, crockery and cutlery for the number of people in the unit. There were no recycling facilities, which resulted in a lot of trips to the dumpster in the parking lot.

The washer and dryer were in another building, which was slightly inconvenient in bad weather, but at least they were free.

The TV was an older model and should be upgraded. The wi-fi was adequate, but not accessible in the main bedroom.

The unit was well-heated, with individual room controls, and there was a very effective artificial gas log fireplace.

There was a lack of cleaning supplies, including dustpan and broom, and the white ceramic cooktop on the stove was difficult to keep clean.

In all, this was a reasonably pleasant unit, but it could be improved with some minor investments. We would look elsewhere if we came back to Killington, but this was reasonable value for money.
